Surprised no one has brought this up yet! Already into the second round but might aswell start some chit chat now!.
Nuggets all the way for me!!
Lebron.. MVP.. Bout time.
Celtics and Bulls - one of the best series I've been lucky enough to see in a long time.
5 out of 7 games went to o.t, including tripple o.t twice!
Bulls choked late in 7, easy lay up missed to make it one point game.
Cavs and Atlanta will be an awesome match up...
And i expect a MVP performance from you tonight!
Heh, ive been a big fan of the Nuggets this season, but even i can see they wont make the final. I think they'll get past the Mavs, but thats as far as they'll go.
Likely a Cavs v Lakers final imo.

Definatly looking at Lakers Vs Cavs for the Finals.
But if Bynum doesnt stay out of foul trouble, Yao will continue to shit on there interior defense and make life hard for the Lakers.
Denver should get past the Mavs, will be a good series to watch with SFA defense.
Atlanta and Cavs will be a tough one but you'd have to pick the Cavs in 5?
And thats if Josh Smith can contain Lebron (if possible.)
Thank god the spurs are out. Bout time the pissed off. Time to start over.

Havent really seen much of NBA since was taken off free to air tv, now thats its back on its great. Watched most of the Bulls Celtics series and that was awsome. Bulls doing well for such a young inexperienced team. I would guess Cavs Lakers for final. If that happens i would suggest the lakers would have it.

hehe.. i got nothing more to add..
celtics vs bulls = best series ive ever seen.. shame about game 7 :/
Denver's bombed and will cream Mavs (already 2 - 0) and probably play the Lakers which will be another good series..
Magic will beat Celtics imo but wont beat Cav's
So lakers vs cavs i predict in 6 or 7 kek

Denver - Cavs final!
Lebron is the master, Carmello, Chauncey and Nene are tearing it up.
Rockets shocked the Lakers in game one, would be a huge upset for them to win that series.
Watching with KEEN interest :)
Rose from the bulls will be a superstar.
For a team that deserved to be outside the finals, as a rookie he dragged them there, and played a ton beyond his years.
Didnt the Cavs smash the hawks last night by 26 ?

Denver has a 2-0 lead on the Mavs, Rockets up 1-0 over Lakers, Cavs up 1-0 on the Hawks and the Magic are up 1-0 on the Celtics but Boston are up by about 22pts against the Magic in Game 2 at 3/4 time. Rondo has a triple double already :)
Damn - Boston wiping out the lakers would be epic, and awesome. Fuck Kobe.

Nuggets win a thriller and go 3-0! 106 to 105. Chauncey the king with 32pts. Melo hit the game winning 3 with seconds left.
Cavs chop the Hawks to go 3-0 with a 97-82 win. Lebron drops 47pts, 12 boards and 8 assists!
Heh, yeah, Hawks aint getting anywhere near winning a game in that matchup. If they didnt have the injuries, they mightve grabbed one game, maybe, but not now. Cavs FTW.

Chauncey dominated with 28pts, 12asts and 7 boards.
Boston and Magic take it to 7 - Howard had a ripper game
Lakers and Rockets go to 7 - just watched it live, and Rockets played an outstanding game
Orlando and Houston to bust out some epic upsets ?
Rockets started on a flyer this morning! Was tighter after half time, then i had to stop watching at the end of the 3rd.
Did Rockets run away with it, or stay tight?
Lakers had the big run into the third, but the rockets steadied, and got it back out to above ten with ease till the end of the game.

+ 1
Lebron has matured well beyond his years. He is one of the most unselfish players in the league, one of the best scorers and one of the best defenders in the game and probably will be for many years to come.
Watch him play, when he is on song he kills any defense. He is a class act and doesnt big note himself. when interviewed, he does expect very high things from himself but he always seems to pull it off. Sign of a true champion. He talks the talk & walks the walk.
As an allround player, he is as good as Jordan was I believe.

Thats about spot on! And from what ive seen of him if he dont have the shot or cant take it in he passes it of to someone who is open, Both jordan and kobe scored massive but also have massive amounts of attempts cause the ball always goes to them.

21-05-2009, 01:21 PM
Ilgauskas has a top 15-18 foot jumper man id let him take them all day.
He can step out and hit that shot thats why he is so valuable, also draws players like dwight howard out of the paint.
Watched the game this morning, lebron is a monster. Cavs bench were a bunch of fail. think they managed 8 points in total. Orlando bench had like 25-30.
Rashed lewis was hot as in the last half i think he hit his last 7 shots.
Mo williams and crew need to step up and help lebron and knock down shots if they are gunna win.
And also FUCK ME who saw mo williams 3/4 court heave?
adrenalin

Game 2 of denver \ L.A so here is hoping denver can square it up.

Now we go back to LA for game 2 knowing WE through the ball away and lost the game.
Should be an interesting series.

Of course the Cavs rely on LeBron alot, hes the best player in the game. But they have built a decent supporting cast around him now so I think they'll be find.
Don't forget they had 8 days off coming into this game so they may have been a little rusty.
Yes he can hit them but check his FG %. Its fucking shithouse.
Not that bad, 45-47% for both the regular season and the playoffs. He knocks that outside shot down quite well, decent 3pt shooter.

that shot alone was awesome catch and throw with a second to go.
Yea not denying he cant hit them it just seems a waste when someone like mo williams \ delonte west or lebron james can take a 3 and are more likely to hit it.
You cant shut down lebron. Only hand in the face and make it difficult.

^ funny you mention Ehlo...taken from ESPN:
CLEVELAND -- Michael Jordan no longer has the most famous buzzer-beater in Cleveland sports history.
The Shot has been topped.
LeBron James made one better.
James dropped a 3-pointer from the top of the key over Orlando's Hedo Turkoglu as the final horn sounded Friday night to give the Cavaliers, their season a heartbeat from major trouble, a 96-95 victory over the Magic that evened the Eastern Conference finals at one game apiece.
From 23 feet -- matching his jersey number and Jordan's -- James hit a shot that will go down as one of the defining moments in a career that's just hitting its stride.
"That guy is not in the league any more," James said of Jordan. "The other 23 is on the good side now."
Big call!
Sure its good to talk it up, but Jordans entire move was probably better then Lebrons.
Not taking anything away from it, it was brilliant, but Jordan runs, has to make room, steady, get up, hang as ehlo tries to block, then pop it in.

Lebron had no time to make room, steady, get up, hang as Turkgolu tried to block, and pop it in. Seemingly effortless compared to Jordans attempt.
Jordan over Ehlo, still #1.

Totally agree.. Kobe manages to close the deal, and in Denver which is a pretty big task this season..
Getting sick of Fisher, he is useless lately, imo put Shannon Brown on pls.. Ariza on the other hand is coming up with some bombed plays down the stretch
Carmelo looked pissed after the fail pass in and having to foul, which fouled him out.

"The other 23 is on the good side now."
http://i44.tinypic.com/2yziidj.gif
See, if you look closely, the defender doesnt even get off the floor!
Feet are planted the entire time.
Jordan had to get air, wait for ehlo to start falling, then pop the shot.
[FFOUR]
25-05-2009, 07:47 AM
Which shot was more difficult isn't really the issue, they are comparing the most "famous" shot in Cleveland history - the hometown hero makes a tough shot to save the series/season for his team, Jordan was the enemy remember so the fans have been looking for something to top it.
Ah yes, just re-read that, and missed that important bit the first time.
In that case, then yes, 20 years later, their memories can be replaced with a positive one :)

Exactly. Melo was sick aswell plus did his ancle at the start. He said in his press conference after the game he felt like he had no legs or energy the whole game.
So explains the bad shooting performance.
Lucky for us we have an awsome bench. None more awsome than the birdman of corse!
Mo is struggling big time - no confidence in himself atm.
And that could end up being the difference between Cleveland and Orlando.

26-05-2009, 02:06 PM
no its not.
Once it gets in the last minute all they do is constantly foul the other team and go to the line and shoot 2.
Plus they take 20 second time outs so literally the play goes for a second or two and there at the line.
Its the biggest lead out of these two teams but i wouldnt call it a smashing.
30+ for me is a thrashing.
I dont care either way as denver is my team :)
You make it sound like none of us have ever seen a game of basketball.

The 3 worked so well against the Cavs since they couldn't defend Howard with single coverage leaving shooters wide open - the Lakers on the other hand have talented post defenders (Gasol and Bynum) so I can't see the Magic getting as many open looks.
In other news there is a chance Jameer Nelson (their injured Allstar PG) will be back for the Magic, would be a huge lift as he led them in scoring in both wins over the Lakers during the regular season.
