Car decided to die on me today on the way home, I was just cruising along and the car feels like its cutting off and the electrics were restarting, all whilst I was driving so I decided to pull over and then the car stalls and dies, I try starting it, starts, stalls and dies for the first few times and now it just won't start at all.

I'm not very clued up but I think the electrical problem is not letting the fuel pump get any power as I don't hear the pump priming when I turn on to ACC. But lights, stereo and my AVC-R all work fine?

Checked all fuses and now when I turn the key there's a buzzing sound coming from the fusebox in the driver's side footwell. RAC guy reckons its coming from one of the wiring harnesses in there. Then when I turn to crank it, the gauges in the cluster sort of reset themselves. Anything I can try tonight before I call a mobile autoelectrician tomorrow? Hope this can be fixed it cos I need to take it to the pits this week!

Also can anyone recommend a mobile autoleccy?

could also be an alternator charge problem, i had that problem in my vl, was getting enough charge so car was stalling and kept chugging

ok... disconnected the battery for a while and reconnected, car started and then died. so i don't think its an alternator problem? i think something is shorting out, i guess i need an auto leccy... can anyone recommend a good mobile one?

From what I can get from the start thread, you're saying that the electrics are cutting out which is causing the stall.
I had an issue like this once and it was a loose wire on the ECU connection.
I also had an issue where the electrical supply was still good during the stall, and it turned out to be a dirty AFM.

Make sure the terminals and connections to the battery are all clean.

Check the earth is clean and bolted properly.
Check the voltage from the battery before startup, when it started, and when it dies.
