Ive had to install a flash blocker as the ads kept freezing up Explorer for me. Mainly seemed to be the one with the tape measure on it. As soon as I blocked them no worries at all.

Anyone else having this problem?

Im running Explorer 8 and want to know if its the browser or the ads causing it.

Cheers.

Installed the IE7Pro addon which has a built in flash blocker but you have to turn it on in the options.

Umm, i'm surprised people are still using IE...
I understand if you guys don't want to change... but i'd strongly advise it.

#1 Mozilla Firefox
#2 Google Chrome

Do yourselves a favour and download and use one...

I've had the same issue previously, but after installing the latest update for Adobe Flash, it fixed it.

If you want to stick with IE, try that.

Sure it's Firefox... are you running Norton AntiVirus?
Did you install the plug-ins? Don't know how it wouldn't work on particular websites.

I have noticed a large amount of memory being used when that Contours ad is on.

Have e-mailed the ad suppliers, they will remove it.

Same, IE would just go nuts and start smashing the memory.

Was a good excuse to change to chrome.

Had the same problem.

Just installed IE8 and that particular ad has just shown. No dramas at the moment.

Update:

Installing IE 8 and the new flash seems to stop this issue.

Just did it on the computer here at uni and it's helped.

Also, as SAU uses the same advertising group I've noticed the same issue on that forum. This also seems to help that.

i use Opera on PC and Safari on the mac,

operas RSS is basically in email format and saves it using the email section of the web browser + the speed dial option for opera = WIN

restarted

There aren't any pop ups on antilag, so if people are getting these, it's a virus on your computer.

hrmmm thats odd. I use chrome and haven't had any problems.

Will jump on IE when I get home and check it out.

Definately google as said by mitchy. The one on the bottom of the page above the castrol ad doesn't appear to be loading, so have to click back a few times to go back. It's not really a big deal.

Brockas

Ahh thats the problem then.

There isn't supposed to be a google ad above the Castrol Ad.

Is that better now?

I seem to be getting adds appearing to the right of the top antilag banner (top of page) in IE. It makes the screen wider, so you have a horiztonal scroll bar.

Generally looks to be google adds from what I've seen.
