hey all
thort ide make a thread on my ute

have had ute for about 6 months now and bought it to use as a daily ,i got ute and did an oil change to notice 1 month later it was down onto add then onwards was using nearly 1 litre of oil every 1000ks, i read up on this to notice is a current problem with the early model ls1 s piston slap n rings ect, also how it was run in prob has alot to do with it aswell

about three weeks ago pulled engine out
engine is currently striped and going in this wednesday to be hone bored balanced and heads to be faced serviced ported

2002 vu ss ute
114 000 ks on clock
black
pacemaker extractors
twin 2.5 " exaust twin 3 " tips
king springs
19" speedy cheetah rims

parts i have bought for engine

diamond racing forged pistons
eagle H beam rods
double row timing chain
pushrods
comp cam
comp valve springs
new extreme clutch
felpro gasket kits
more parts to come

once all put bak together off to get tuned
hopefully engine crane can hold out 1 more time
will get some pics up asap

hard, jus quick question mate do u no how the rockers on ls1 hold up with this kinda setup, still tossing up wether to get some yella terra rockers

yeh should do some nice skids ,had a look at your build
tha other day that thing looks intense nice build to,
was gona buy stroker kit for mine would jus cost me
to much to run everyday

stroker might not have been ya best option if its a daily car but this package should go hard. bought the cam already? i'd go bigger if i were you, just for fun!!

yeh mate have already got cam,yeh was tossing up between this cam and tha 232 234.

Spewin! 232/234 is a baby cam too :( ahh well. Good luck with build dude
