There alright, installed 3 into a mates car, was the smoked ones I think.
But would recommend Defi if you can get your hands on them at a decent price, or if the budget allows.

have a set of 3, been fine so far
they're cheap so they're obviously not going to be defi quality

they are cheap but not too bad. I've got an oil press and water temp in my car. they are cool at night but hard to see in the day because of the smoked screen...

mine are lit during the day too, no issues with visibility?

Na I didnt want a smoked one, I like the quality of the autometer gauges but im not a fan of the quick readability when your trying watch the road, I found the last autometer gauges prety crap to read at night, I quite like the HKS and Greddy styled gauges, nicely styled and easy to read. for the money may be worth a try, its that or find some s/h hks or greddy brand but not really really keen on spending 400 bucks each for a new jap gauge let alone a defi, 400 bucks can buy bits that really matter
for me gauge r gauge lol wat u want just get it ive got Greaddy Gauges in my GTR they do the job for me..

had them in previous cars, never had a problem with wrong readout and breaking. if you have $400 to spend on a single gauge then do it but us people who arent insane will continue to buy decently priced ones

You could try SABER gauges, but they are smoked, like DEFI styled gagues. Also have back light which makes reading easy.
The calibre gauges are pretty accurate as i had it against my SABER gauges to test accuracy. Guess they aren't too expensive for the build quality too.

i think the idea of smoked guages is to have them constantly lit up..and only to look smoked when the car is off.

I wonder how many ppl that complain of poor visibility have not had the gauges set up properly, as they have two light modes(three if you count no light), to match day & night.

My mate had the Autogauge ones in his car, and had them lit all the time, which made them very simple to read day or night. Not bad for the money, and don't look cheap and china.

Nup, but I remember having to make my own mud map to make sense of the supplied diagram.
If there is a wire not connected that'll be the sucker as there is an earth, ignition trigger, headlights trigger and another iirc.
