cheapest I can see for a round trip to Melb (flying at a half-decent time) is $148.00 departure leg and $30 return. Still a fukn cheap return ticket for less than $180.
hmm just had a look but seems most of the "$30" flights are "gone"
we were planning to go to sydney for a few days but the airfare has just gone up on that too
might have to make the holiday a bit more adventurous and maybe go to melb, have a day or twos break, then fly on to sydney for a few days, then fly to adelaide and stay a night or two then come home - just means jumping around between tiger and virgin flights but at a rough cost of $350 for the round trip i dont mind
works out all up about $150 cheaper than just flying straight to syd n back, and we get to check out a few different cities. of course the extra accomodation costs will even it all out but i kinda like the idea of 'winging' it too with no set plans on where to stay or what to do.
Booked last week on tiger air, return to Singapore during F1 period $171 including tax
Cant beat that. Tickets were $0 each way only had to pay for taxes.
Dont know if it was a bug or they just trying to sell seats ;)

Tiger are running a lot of promotions like this atm, no bug.
They've just expanded their fleet and are/will be flying to a few more places in Aust'.
If you're travelling Tiger, anywhere, for goodness sakes, those solid plastic suitcases are pingpingpingpings to load. Do noooooootttttt buy them.

Singapore Airlines had a sale last week, cheap flights to Europe. $1,300 return to London, via Singapore, incl taxes. Then just hopping between cities with RyanAir, it's about 50 bucks between London and Paris. Another 50 bucks between Paris and Rome, and so on. Cheaper than catcing a cab home here in Perth haha. Going away for a couple of weeks in few months time, should be awesome. :D

Given that flights are planned for like 12 months in advance, it will be a while before they start getting expensive again.
