shannons care about points and reckless etc within a 4 yr period i think... 2JZNOSHIT will be able to help clarify.
Just Car if within the last 3 years i think. Just car doesnt care about lost points, only how recently you have lost your licence.

Just Cars don't really care, but they will ream you on excess, and don't expect any free windows regardless :(
The premium + excess does go down a bit the longer your with them.
Shannons>Just Cars, IF Shannons will take you.

Are you buying a modified car/import?
If so, only a few insurance places will consider you and the premium will be drug money spec...

I ended up with RAC and they didnt mind shelling out 6k for repairs 9mths after purchase

Your car is a BMW correct? They wouldnt have a problem insuring an aussie delivered none modded car. RAC wont touch imports due to the high level of risk and problems with parts list being claimed...
wonder how well one of those "pulled over for good driving" reports would go down with them?

Reckless / Hoon Law = Same Same. So if you got insurance after a reckless charge 2 years ago, I'm sure you'll get it again but they'll just rape you on the excess.
I'm also interested to see what mine will be like as I've yet to renew an insurance on a car with my hoon law charge from early 08.

more info on these insurance brokers?
ive got problems getting my car insured (not due to loss of license or anything)
simply because of fibreglass guards i have on the front (front end conversion)..
just cars will insure me, but only to 3rd party (not even fire and theft..)..
and shannons says I dont have enough driving experience.
id be happy if i was able to get 3rd party fire and theft!
so yeah, if anyone knew more about these insurance brokers, and could let me know that would be tops!

RAC dropped me after I got hoon lawed and HBF took me up... excess isn't too bad but the premium was 2500 last year, 2100 this year. Wasn't too much juggling about to make it happen either
