G'Day Guys

I’ve spent the last few days lurking around the forums seeing what’s out there and who does what and how and decided to join the community and share my car with you all in hopes of some form of advisory, encouragement and ultimately get involved with what’s happening around Perth.

I picked this up about a month ago from a friend of mine in Kalgoorlie who lost his job in the whole economic fall out. He had been using it to get to work and back over unsealed roads and what ever else is out there so I was a little weary of the buy, but I got the RAC under, over and inside it and it was given the tick.

I’m not too cluey when it comes to bits and pieces so excuse the any miss-communications with this list

Came with the following:
GoFastBits Manual Bleed Valve Controller
Greddy Turbo timer
After-Market Un-plumbed BOV
Pod Filter
Xforce 4” Exhaust > 3” pipe

I’m pretty sure that 1/4 of what’s been added to the engine bay is yellow sticker material. Maybe you guys can help me confirm or deny this I have plans to take most of it off in some form or another anyway.

My intentions for the car is to act as a daily I want to keep it clean and tidy but for when appropriate have some fun with it as well.

Want List:
Stereo (there’s holes where the rears should be)
FMIC
Electronic Boost Controller
Cold air induction kit
HID’s
Wheels and Tyres
Possible Lowering

Feel free to throw me any piece of advice or references Id really appreciate it.

Thanks for letting me post here!

I really enjoy driving it Auto.. and its my licence allocation. (21 and no Manual :( )

so the manual conversion is kinda out of the question (cheers for the advice though!)

I can understand why its 4x4 spec atm Kalgoorlie spoon drains and lowered cars dont mix.

yeah the town is designed for 100 Series.. the curbs are a metre tall and the drains eat small children.

hahaa the drains eat small children.

welcome :p
id say leave the mods how they are because you cant really see them that much in the engine bay as it is the cops wont yellow you..unless you lower it too much or have low tyre tread. right now it looks pretty stock..
if your worried about the pod just make sure it doesnt wobble around AT ALL which is easy to do by making some brackets out of strips of galv or whatever painted black if u must. theres plenty of things around to anchor them to.

im personally not a fan of the sideskirts or the rims and much prefer series 2 r33's anyway but yours isnt too bad its pretty good for one from the country anyway id say. a nice front bar maybe a GTR style one would make it look alot better i think and go more with those skirts, and then u can fit the FMIC easier too.

then lowered on some black centred chrome lipped 18s..
perfect cruiser/daily/fun

man if your in kalgoolie id leave it as is, maybe rip the spoiler off.
i wouldnt bother with new rims, itll probably get jacked.
owning a r33 in kalgoolie would be like owning a DB9 in perth

I like it, silver's a shit hot colour! Definatly needs a de-wing, I like the sideskirts but It needs better rims, rear pods need extending lower at the front with more angle up towards the rear and lowering - just so it looks symetrical (spelling)

auto licence hey? thats gota be a fail. At least skyrine auto boxes are strongish

Sup dude! Good to see you joined the forums.

Just keep doing what you're doing....read and learn.

You can make them go well even with an auto trans, Sean from ASG had an auto R33 Skyline that had FMIC, Power FC and a few other bits on it, went DAMN hard.

Cheers for the replies guys!

Smoked- You and I are definatley on the same page.. lower profile Black/Chrome 18's are on the hit list for sure...and the R33 GTR front bar has been a thought.. im not too sure how it would line up with the current sideskirts though.

Evil - I have moved from Kal and am now a full time Perth resident, as much as it would be "the bee's knees" to owen a sline in Kal.. it doenst prove much chop around these parts.

Bagn - Cheers for the colour props.. its nice. I had it lined up next to an S2 in gunmetal grey last weekend and I seemed to prefer this option better. The bonnet was recently re-sprayed as a large amount of sun damage was evident on it prior to purchase. Its got a few chips and key damage here and there but im told they can be buffed out, The auto licence aint too bad..

Balistic - Cheers for making me feel welcome

even if the GTR bar didnt line up fully with the current sideskirts i reckon it would still look better than the sideskirts with a stock front bar

yeh i thought so.. i reckon a de-wing, set of nice black centre chrome/polished lip 18s, and a bit lower.. should make out for a very nice daily..
