wasnt it usually shown live? but it was always like 2 oclock in the morning or something?

I hope they don't over commit to show stuff live and then we'll watch stuff like F1 3hrs late because of an AFL match or some dumb Cricket game... sorry I am bias but that would be shit. Also I hope they don't replay things 3 times to fill in the space - there's plenty of sport around the world to fill in a full 24hrs with no replays!

10HD when airing F1 at 10-11pm - that was already a couple hours behind the real race... wasn't live - then a repeat on normal 10 at 2am.
the only races we've seen live were the melbourne race and one or two other...

never going to leave home again!LOL:idb:
so, say i don't get HD because i'm totally retarded, will F1 be on normal free-to-air channel 10? i don't mind it if it's late as all shit but just curious...
Sully
17-03-2009, 12:46 AM
one is going to be broadcast in hd and standard definition so if you've got a set top box you'll be able to get it even if you don't have a high def telly. it'll be on channel 11 or 12, i forget which. they've got heaps of propaganda ads on for it at the moment.
it's gunna be fuckin mint though! means there's always going to be something to watch on telly instead of flicking through the current 5 channels of the same bullshit every night

it should be for sure as per normal - however some races will be shown at 2am, while on HD they will be at 10.30pm for example.
In saying that you can get a cheap HD set top box for under $80 from the Good Guys... maybe its worth it :)

wouldn't most of the 'live' broadcasts of the decent american sport be shown in the middle of the night/early morning? looks like you'll have to buy a hdd recorder just to watch any of the good stuff... nba at 6am ftl

They replay the games at night (7.30pm or 9.30pm), except the last week or so where golf has taken priority.

i don't mind hitting a golf ball around but i think i'd rather have red hot irons applied to my balls than watch it on tv, i can't think of anything more boring than golf on tv
