Hey guys,

here is something a little different. it is my 1999 mitsubishi magna TH sports. Here is the list of mods iv done and some pictures of it. I was at that massive cruise the other week at city west, someone suggested i stick my head in here and say hi lol. As you will see im not hugely into audio gear, as im in to trying to make something that looks good as well as having a it of poke.

lol mate those neons havent been turned on in probably close to a year, i just havent been f***** to take the of. when i first bouht the car i made it into a rice mobile, now that has changed, and they are the remaining pieces left to be removed lol.

A mate bought them, then he got some 4 tip spark plugs, so he wanted to get rid of them, so i got them of him for a cheap price instead.

The reason iv listed it was because people on other forums ask me if i changed them, if they made a difference, and what they are, so i just put it there. So everyone knows what engine i run, what gear box i got and what iv done to the engine. just providing all the details i possibly can.

If your serious about driving it hard, look into a quaife LSD, not sure if they make them for the auto though...

5 speed manual v6 magnas absolutely poop on auto magnas.
do a conversion if you really want to go faster..

my friend had a 3.0 v6 5 speed TE 1997 magna which was an absolute freak.
chirp 3rd in the dry easily and keep up with assorted gen3 commodores and ba xr8's.. all it had was a brass button clutch and cat back exhaust.

id definitely buy one.. as a daily with unexpected poke

how much did the cams set you back and whered u get them installed??

my mate has a manual magna, fucking pisses for what it is.
like Smoked said they keep up to stock ls1's and xr8's easy.
i reckon you should tint the tail lights, or return to stock.

i wanted to see how far i could push the auto box, but i am planning on doing a manual conversion in the future. this should be happening in the future some time as im bored of the auto, although i do love the idle, which is nice and lumpy. once done i will also be looking at a lsd.

in regards to those tail lights, they do look better in real life, but im still tempted to tint them as well, not sure yet.

Well the car is back together and on the road, everything is installed and running well. What do you guys think?

Next in line is to fix the exhaust on saturday, replace the interceptor ecu with a E6X, then get a donar car and transplant a manual gearbox in. I then have to choose between either going for a crazy n/a car, with high comp pistons and bigger cams, or a low psi supercharger, but ill make that decision when i get there.

The car is now manual and is alot more fun to drive. Im slowly getting there. Waiting for my ecu to arrive, should be here by the end of the month :) Then im saving up a bit of money to build the engine with low comp, and a 10 psi bullet s/c. Should run about 250kw atw then :) Wont be anything crazy like some of you guys have or as fast, but im hoping it will turn some heads while having a bit of power to back :) So far I have saved a fair bit of money by doing most of the modifications my self, so im happy with it.

as mentioned, this car obviously has some potential beyond a pimped out cruiser. so, its might be a track demon or highway monster but i think he's done well and with even better with whats planned.

Thanks guys, glad its appreciated, i understand its something very different to modify and i know it probably wont be a skyline killer, but its fun to drive and is a bit of a challenge to modify and find parts for. Might see you out on the track one day :) lol Its a shame that its not a rear wheel drive, but there is a few options i can take to do this, but its going to be all about price and if i can get someone to do it. In regards to the mivec conversion, i know one of the guys who did it, i think it was a 5 speed auto, not bad for an auto but if i were to do that option i would turbo it. anyways ill keep you all updated.
