Cruise Details:

Meetpoint: Omni Undercover Carpark, Railway Parade. 9pm meet for 9:45 depart.

Just a few points for those who haven't been to an A12 cruise. No burnouts or loud stereos at meetpoints. While driving, no tailgating, unneccessary hard braking, hogging the right lane on dual carriageways or overtaking in emergency lanes etc...

Basically drive sensibly, be courteous to other drivers (no matter what they drive) and enjoy the cruise. A12 is about how you drive not what you drive so if you're anti Aussie car, Jap car or Imports dont bother coming...

Any questions feel free to ask....

i went too! was a good cruise, nice long 3 / 4 laned highways which is what i like to see and not much tailgating....

no offence to captain munchie fans but why do meet points always stop at captain munchies in freo? theres always fuckheads down kebab lane and usually bulk cops, and pretty far out from eveythink!?

just some constructive critisim

I went it was a good cruise.

Got a bit lost after the second last meet point cause i didnt get time to ask where the next stop was becoz everyone went off so quickly due to cops, so I stopped at DNA in cannington thinking everyone was gathering there. ( I turned up late at the freo meet point so i didnt get given a map). And it ended up being a completely different cruise, with 180sx's and skylines. Dude said it was just his friends, and that he knew TJ. Dave his name was? :/ Anyways after my embarrassment I drove off and went to kings park.

*shamed*

But apart from that it was a nice evening..

some more constructive critic.. that petrol station that that we stopped at was a real bad place also, not enough room for all the cars to park, really. :/

Great turnout, 165 cars at the first meetpoint and that swelled to close to 200 by the time we hit Freo. Most people drove sensibly as far as Im aware and everyone did the right thing at meetpoints.

Kelmscott saw the cops swoop and block off Cammillo Rd to go through some cars. Sour note on a great cruise up until then. I think most people got away with just a license check and breath test... Apologies to anyone who got yellows.

So apart from the Kelmscott incident, great cruise and thanks to all who attended.

We use munchies because the carparks nice and large and even though cops usually roll through Ive neer seen the carpark blocked off....

The servo, yes well we didnt expect as many cars as we got hahaha Usually with the servo and HJs theres enough bays, apologies there hahaha

The cruise was mostly SOR due to SOR having better roads I guess....

yer the cruise was a great SUCCESS, lots of big roads, alot of fun, untill me and my friend in his 200sx, and the supra, wrx, commdore behind got blocked off by cops. Nuthing happened really the 200sx got sticked for no permits, the supra got sticked for no permits and no P plates, and the pink WRX had a drink driver , the lady in the commodore she was ok and me i had my permits so yer i was ok too.

Pretty good cruise and we got some good video, especially of a certain R31 popping flames on the freeway....

Just a note, next person who tailgates me I WILL BRAKE......HARD. Getting fed up with this shit. The white MX6 all riced up last night was not more than 6 inches away from my rear bumper on several occasions at high speed.

People, understand, if there is a cop car on the median strip/side of the road like there was at the last cruise, then people are going to brake and brake HARD. You may have every confidence in you're own reaction times but you're stock brakes aren't going outperform the multi-pot calipers fitted to many high end performance cars.

Luckily we only had 1 minor crash which i'm aware of, 2 EF falcons run into each other....

The EF who had the crash was a P Plater and so was that MX6, you guys are giving us a bad name....

Note: Ricey this isnt having a go at you're cruise, just some peoples attitudes need re-adjusting, but nothing you can really do to help that.....

Yeah great cruise Ricey,

Had an awesome time, its the first time I've actually whored on a crooze for a long while, decided to give you the car for the night (Glad we didn't go near any long sweepers with fences to the right :P)
Now you know how it feels to have 300hp under your feet in a car that cops think is a Toyota Camry :P
Brakes are getting fixed tomorrow (Thanks to Jash @ C-Red), so maybe next time you can use loud pedal somewhat more.

I went Retro for this one, whoring with and driving one leg, in "MISS308" that sick Torrie from the Deeeeeep South (teehhehhe), I must say for how old it is, that car handles quite well for its age, it's got a few mechanical issues, but the owner is keen to sort her out so she can actually chop a few of the sad souls showing off their BOV's as they chopped her.

Hopefully a few of the cars that turned up have stood out and will be recognized for their efforts.

What happened on the freeway before the powis street exit. I saw a number of cars stopped near and before it? And I hope no one got pinged by the speed camera that was setup near the exit powis street exit.

I was one of the ppl pulled over as i think i fried the supercharger side of the ECU, so went to Joondalup then home as its fuking slow withour the charger.

But caught up with you guys in Freo and was lucky enough for Potter to hand his keys over.

Was good cruise Mark, but did we actually find any new members out of it HAHA

Lyoness
31-01-2005, 10:17 AM
With the freeway exit at Powis street a few people locked on their brakes, I was lucky enough to swing out to the side so I wasn't in the pile up, the guy behind me did the same thing.

People shouldn't tail gate due to some people's brakes being better or worse than their own.

But other wise, yes a good cruise
Thanks

i saw a brand new hyundai or something with a smashed in rear, and an R33 pulled over on marmion ave just past karrinyup road. what happened there ? probly another heavy brake, or r33 accelerating too fast from lights...

dirty 4 door didnt get one look from the boys in blue, until kelmscott. where a car was pulled over, so they drove into the car park. saw all of us and everyone started runnign they're cars n such

Ok, from what I can gather that's at least 2 roadblocks in the armadale/kelmscott area.

On antilag cruise 6, the first thing I said to my co-driver when he told me we were going through Armadale is "Fuck this. The Local cops are gonna ream these guys." I grew up down there, and I know I'm not the only one here who's lived there... you know what they're like.

Sure enough, once I get to munchies I hear of about 6 cars getting blocked and stickered on Armadale road. Now this camillo rd incident

Armadale is a big no fly zone boys and girls. It may have some great roads, but it's also a major traffic cop hub, one of the most ruthless places for stickerage and a real bad place to take a night cruise. Also all it takes is one cop going the other way down tonkin to spot us... and there's only one place we'd be going...

I'd suggest to any potential cruise-planners to avoid Armadale like the plague in future.

Just a couple of things ...... where are the pics we need to see some pics .... saw a hell pimped out Stegea cruising (haha) and..... maybe we should start a thread just dedicated to the topic "How not to tailgate on a car cruise" I have been cruising since I had a datto 1600 and I never went on any cruises that had accidents .... I look around to all the new faces at the meet points and see cars with maybe three to four times the amount of power as I had when I first started driving and they have P plates on them...... I am not bagging all P platers just the ones that THINK they can handle and drive these cars. For anyone wondering where all this came from just read the thread from the start and see the trend through out the pages ..... you will see it. Yeah there seems to be a lot of overzealous P platers around lately. What concerns me is the P platers driving Turbo imports because I know its damn hard to get insurance so are they driving uninsured?

Saying that they arent all bad there are some sensible P platers out there but even so experience makes a good driver.

Cheers for the positive feedback ;)

But all In all was a good cruise with good legs well done Ricey.

There are some of us P platers who have been driving for years before getting our licence.... Not saying we have the same experience, but i know i am very cautious with my car. Im not about to risk it cutting someone off cause i 'could' miss a turnoff etc. I think you will find the P platers in decent cars aren't the ones tailgating for example. I know i stay at least 3 seconds back from the car in front at speed.
But you are right, i have witnessed several incidents, and a lot of them have involved P platers, but most of the time in POS cars....
