just looking to get an engine stand..

anybody got one they dont need and wanna get rid of for cheap?

and what about those "auto" shop ones? they any good?
ive got one of those $290 engine cranes (repco, autopro, supercheap spec ones).. they do the job great for what they cost.

engine stand is an engine stand pretty much, doubt there would be that much diffrence from supacheap to Snapon.

Mine cost me like $60 and i have built a few engines on it, i think trav still has mine

Not true

I have 9 of the china ones $70 ea and are junk. A 4 pot engine will sit on them ok but you put a iron block 6 on them they droop about 2" and wobble if farted near, they stretch the pivot points about 3 of them now are unusable till I find a way to reinforce the pivot points........ you get what you pay for

I think I still have one sitting up at my old mans place. Will have a look when I go round tomorrow. Only used it once for a mates 351 clevo and had no probs with it. Will get back to ya.

not completely true its all got to do with its capacity.. i bought a $180 from super cheap and its 4 wheeler... (same one at repco was $260) sat my complete 350 chev on it put the whole thing in my ute and drove around to drop it off to get built no issues!!

the little $70 are good for datto motors ect but i have a long motor 308 sitting at my parents house and im too fucking scared to move it.. 3 wheeler!!

if u spend more than $150 and have a 4 wheeler ull be fine..

Where abouts is the crane located Monk?? I need one for the Windsor. If it's held a Clevo, should have any worries with mine.
