Ok, i have found a very clean Pintara TRX (dont laugh motherfuckers) with very high K's. Its the newer shape (90+) and its.. FWD.. sigh.
Anyway i'd like to know how hard it would be to fit an SR20 in there from a Pulsar SSS/TI or whatever.
Also what other engine options are there that would be simple to fit? CA18DET from EXA's, they're FWD right?
SSS SR20, would it be easy to perform a turbo conversion on these cars as it is with S13 SR20? Is there any major differences i should know about?
Thanks.

why waste your time on something that is fwd.
if your planning on giving it a decent power upgrade, it wont be able to put the power down very well
id go for a s3 bluebird with the ca20
ca18det is a bolt in affair

i agree, if ur going to buy a TRX its best to buy one wif low k's. The 2.4's dont go to badly and plus they come with viscous lsd aswell -----> burnouts :)

If i was going to a fwd it would be a trx, ive looked into this extensively, as i have with a lot of projects i am always wanting to undertake, there is this forums especially for trx's, i'll try and find you the link, everything you want to know from power upgrades on the ka24de to ca18det and sr20det conversions, r32 tailight conversions (looks good too) to full wrx bodykit conversions, this place has it all...
There is this one sr20det trx with custom everything named "sir trx", if you are planning to do a sr20 conversion, this would be the guy to ask..
I will go hunt down that link.. But as upgarage said, if you want power, go rwd/awd, fwd just wont suffice you, thats what has delayed my plans, saving for a good rwd/awd, though i think i may have found one.. ;)
Cheers

Yeah i know the link, www.antrx.com. Cant be fucked searching through the whole forums for it.
SIR_TRX has also run a time of 12.1 with the SR20 which is pretty good.

HotAe92, it doesn't really matter about k's on the clock if its getting an engine conversion anyway. Alex, it's hard putting FWD power to the ground, and expensive, just ask LUDE.

go the sr20det gtir or u13, esp gtir vers stock 220 plus also jazdifffs of uk starting to release lsd kits for fwd box approx 1500 $ about same cost as nismos .all ca's are bad , fault in design causes head twist and piston breakage

go with a U13 Bluebird SR20DET. GTiR SR20 and U12 SR20 both run top mounts, which suck. U13 is the best.

with the right suspension and lsd fwd can be ok. i've looked into the conversion and was going to go ahead with it until antrx.com started producing cheap performance parts for the ka24.
best bet is to get either a RNU12 SSS Attessa Bluebird (ca18) or an HNU12 (sr20) front cut. apparently the engine mounts line up, but they come with awd gearboxes. at the time i was considering the swap i had a pinatara with a ca20e and was going for a ca18 conversion so i could use my existing gearbox, so didnt look into gearboxes that much.
this u12 has a ca18det with the awd from a bluey as well! bit of a waste of money imo
