OK,

I was going to wait untill i got a couple of Bits and Piece's back from MC but here are a couple of things worth a mention.

Looking for people that are interested in Competing. You dont have to be good or have a great car. Just have to try your best to do well and have a good time.

Not after people who want to go out and just bake up, spin out everywhere and not take it seriously.

With that out the way. I think we need a team plus a couple of reserves. As people are often away/sick/broken cars/etc etc etc .......

So if you think you may not be able to comit to full time, have a thought about being down as a reserve.

:)

Nizmo

i'll put my hand up as reserve :)

depending on requirements cos i dont have a Cams license.

Put me down as a reserve. I'll do it every now and then if the team is stuck for drivers.

I've also got my CAMS licence already :)

If you guys need help organising forms, ect PM me coz I have 3 contacts that can help out.

And Butters is right...good cars are not essential...we have turbo's, non-turbo's and FWD, AWD, RWD and cars with and without mods! And practise makes perfect and they quite often have practise days if ppl want to come and give it a try or during the season want to practise!

All Fours And Rotaries Car Club ( AFARCC )

meetings every second tuesd of the month at light car club rooms Moojebing st bayswater ~7:00pm , all welcome.

You need to go there to join for $20 so you can then go and get your cams license which is a further 90 odd dollars

Once you have these things joining the team shall be much easier, since it will make you eligable to compete.

I think you only need a 2NS Cams to compete..though Scott will probably tell you that (he is one of the big guys in the MC/AFARCC)

FranZ
31-12-2003, 04:26 PM
You do only need L2NS, but its rather pointless, you may aswell get a L2S and have oppurtunity to do more events without having to pay for an extra licence everytime!

Kel
31-12-2003, 04:28 PM
I didn't know that I only knew the specifics for MC, but there ya go (learn something knew everyday)

FranZ
31-12-2003, 04:30 PM
Sorry, by more events, I mean sprints, track days, hill climbs etc - these events cant be done with a L2NS. :)

One of the WRX teams ran 2 different teams!! Though it's mostly rexies there!!

FranZ
08-01-2004, 09:15 AM
I think you'll find that you'll struggle to find 8 drivers a month. People are always dead keen for it, but when it comes down to the crunch you find very few that actually have the balls (sorry girls) to do it.

I've seen many times before clubs enter single teams and struggle to fill places and only end up running with 3 drivers on the day.

My 2.2c worth!

zeroyon
08-01-2004, 09:50 AM
I agree with Franz. Hence my interesting in having as many reserves down as possible. It's not just getting people that are keen, a lot of time cars are out of action too.

Hey ALL,

An update.

The Calender for this season is :

8th Feb - 1st round
7th March
11 April
9th of May - Finals (duh)

As said each session is $55 per person, at the first session you must pay for the finals also(9th may). So on first round its $110 each.

I am thinking the best way to orginise this is via email.
So all involed can you please PM me your email and phone numbers(just in case). I'll then get it rolling.

Please dont delay as I would like to put our team in TOMMOROW !!

:D

There are actually 5 rounds.... there is a date missing in that list as it is still awaiting CAMS approval. The round is in June anyway so it should be announced with plenty of notice.

Anyone wanting to compete in the MC Autokhana series should join the following list or you wont know whats going on and you wont get the results when they are released. Average number of emails from this list is about 3 a month.

mc_admin@yahoogroups.com

I will have to withdraw myself, beau and shane as MC competitors as I am without a car at present. When I decide what to do and get it running again we will prob come in as reserves.

Kel
25-01-2004, 12:22 PM
Yeah reserves are important coz when push comes to shove ppl pull out and/or have problems.

MOGWA last season had a full team and 3 reserves and then 2 of the team couldn't make it and we had to contact John for fill in, but the following race we had 2 out again and 1 lost his licence 2 days before, and then they didn't have a team for the finals (I know thats an extreme case but a possibility)

So it goes .....

Sunday 8th Feb AM session
7th March Pm session
11th April AM session
9th May PM session
Finals TBA......

Can you all still make Sunday instead of this Sat ?

Also I need to collect some dollars .... tonight would be good as I would like to pay tommorow. As presviously stated it would be $110 which covers first round and finals.

Hey Franz,

There is a tiny mistake in the results too.

In test 7 as team entry we where 4th fastest(168.65). But skyrex(169.00) has the highlight.

Not important, really I'd just like to see our names in RED highlight though .... just once .... hehehehe :)

Kel, I think you're missing the point of me and Scottie joking around with each other.

And about being a team effort - you did see which team I drove for!?!?! - Jimmah was more concerned about his sideways style than his time! Apart from being a team effort, there is also an inidividual tally for the drivers for the season.
