s15 steering wheel

i want to change my standard s15 steering wheel
But wat is the go with the airbag in the centre of if how can i stop that from blowing in my face is there sumthing i must disconnect and if i do this will the airbag light stay on in my car

disconnect the battery and jump on the brake for ~a minute or so to discharge the system...

As for the airbag light, you can either wire in a small resistor or buy a boss kit with an built in resistor...
