How'd the XR5 go? Mum has a Focus Zetec and that has some zip behind for a 5cyl N/A. Pretty sure they're gonna be getting one of the turbocharger kits for it once warranty runs out, would be interesting to know how it'd go.

Yeah mate its showing promise. :) Was hard to get a good read on it ET wise because of the shitty track but it apeared to get a small MPH increase when we backed to back it with my OTR. Where doing some more runs on friday with it. The thing is a work of art. A big thanks to Josh (4A10SHN) from Metalcraft for the chance to test it.

Problems? Car was being tested for different levels of launch control.... There is no way you can launch this car without doing some serious R&D there are so many factors that need to be controlled and sorted. Tyre pressures, dampener softness, launch control (how much boost off the line, what redline) The only time the car got given a chance to get the tyres warm was on the last f#$king pass which was very disappointing on motorplex crews part. If you tell someone "i want to do a burnout in the water" wouldnt you think i better allow this guy to do a burnout rather than thinking it is 4WD! What a f#$knuckle on the water.

Its not easy getting out there and having a clean run, just trying to get a feel for the car doesnt happen in 5 or 6 passes.

I might have to dedicate a bit more time at the strip this year.

Its N/A mate, nos would be the easy way to do it but i'm enjoying trying to get the most out of it N/A. Once i think ive max this combo out im thinking of building a big cube Ls engine next session.
The irs isn't ideal and means i cant use a transbrake but provided you get your camber and toe settings right there not to bad. Its all trial and error, i made some suspension changes this week end that were wrong and cost me 4-5/100s in the 60".
