Hey Guys thinking of getting a wide angle lens for my 40D decieded to might keep my camera and keep learning on it..
So just wanna know any suggestions, brands and what price i should pay, and best size.

Or suggestions on convertors?

I roll the Canon 10-22mm on my 40D. nice and crisp at 10mm but wind it closer in and it starts to lose the sharpness.

Sigma do some pretty decent stuff these days.
Look into their range.

Yeah i looked at Sigma 10C-20C i think the model was - full wide feature for 10mm 20mm

yeah 10-22mm would be my choice on a crop body, seen nice stuff taken with them.

2nd picture looks almost cartoonish with the front wheel jester. nice lens !

2nd pic is HDR hence the cartoonish look, nothing to do with the lens (just incase that wasn't obvious). :)
I also have a 10-22, highly recommended.

man , S15 pics pretty nice ... but nothin beats fisheye
Fisheye isnt Wide angle.
They're two very different lense types

I got my 10-22mm 2nd hand for around $700, probably 9 months ago.

the sigma 10-20mm is a very nice lens... i nearly bought one for the 30d... glad i didn't now though as i'd just be trying to sell it...
wouldn't mind a sigma 12-24 for the new camera though, based on the performance of the 10-20, i reckon i'd be quite happy with it...
