[10th Jan 2009] Performance Car Cruise

[GTEVORSP3C]

This is strictly a performance car cruise with abit of mix road for jap cars. However, if there are any of the commodores or fords which are coming to the cruise, try to behave yourself at the meet points for those who are new in this scene and please follow the same old rules for those regular cruisers which go on every weekends. This cruise is going to have 2 meet point for those who live northside and southside. Dont forget to put a full tank as well because it is going to be a long night :p. Bring a UHF if you plan to use it with your friends.

Northside Meet:~ Galleria shopping centre undercover car park
Time:~10:15pm~Depart 10:45pm

Southside Meet:~ Bunnings car park at Leach Hwy
Time:~10:15pm~Depart 10:45pm

Good turnout, only saw cops when we left City West, other than that I didn't see any. The hills leg was crap, damn map was wrong. Left at Leach Maccas, too many more stops, am tired as. Hope the others had a ball

i was following this forrester thru the hills until he was the hero of the day passed the gtr then couldnt catch him... only later to see said hero pulled over by cops later on lol

when the cars that were going thru the hills at the same time pulled over dude ion the gtr said he wasnt even a part of the cruise. and the other guy had a map that didnt look like ours. leads me to think there may of been another cruise from city west doin hills run aswell? would explain some of the confusion.

Great cruise even if a load of us went wrong way was fun in the hills. I left at maccas to go to rocko. Then home nice to see good turnout.

Lesson learnt for him was... 7 Points and $ 1000.00 to Mr. Barnetts Christmas fund.. Quite lucky he got to drive home really.. Having said the the tactics of the Highway Patrol were most interesting..

The scoob was about 400 metres in front of me heading south on Roe Highway just before the Maida Vale road turn off / TLs.. The HWP were on the opposite side of the Road heading towards Midland... They pinged him with the the radar and it was on from there.. The HWP full right hand down on the highway.. Cracked on the lights and headed backup roe on the wrong side against traffic I reckon about 100kmh... Then blew through the TLs with a fair bit of sideways action to get back on to the right side of the road.. Grabbed the scoob about 800 metres from the TLs

It just goes to show HWP will stop at just about nothing to catch your ass especiallly when they are only accountable if they crash or kill somebody.. I must had a sixth sense last night to pack the detector in the Colt of Fury...

125 Maps was print it out for South and North. Didnt realise was so big turn out untill run out of maps.

I can see for those who arrived late at the truck stop, i knew some of them will get lost for following others when they dont know that hills much. For those who cruising more often like Rhys, Ricey and others no one got lost, there is no mistake on the maps because i have run it twice for the STAGE 2 few weeks back when i was bored :p

cruise was awesome,I and a few s15s, 34s some others stayed back like 10min cause po po were circling around city west, we were 10min from the truck stop in the hills and some guys waved us down saying "only a few cars showed waste of fuel turn back, then ask do u know how to get back? im out of fuel..." they left (ended up finding out they were talking shit or went to the wrong place)

we had a 10min brake in the hills and decided we wanted to go anyway, was rocking up as everyone was leaving and beeping at us haha got the the truck stop and someone is changing tyres :P made good fun cause the truck stop was empty after you guys left haha and headed to leach hwy

did many stick it out to the end? i bailed after leach macas's
