cant even buy the motor for that much,it would cost about $15K to do the whole thing properly.
thanks.. ummm, last time i spoke to the dude.. had new clutch. not sure wat sort of box it got behind the sr, so im sure to ask soon... the nick of the overall car is alrite.. need new paint job - doors are black, car is green..
and since in quite new to the datsun scene.. how hard isst to find parts for the 1600's?.. like, if i had a crash.. and needed spare parts (doors, handles, bumpers etc) where would i go ?.. cheap?
thanks...

2200 sounds cheap, cost you heaps more than that to build it.

nice
u got any pics of the car and engine
it will be easiesr to judge how much its worth.
Being such an old car, cosmetic parts such as panels and lights will be relatively hard to find. although there is probably a few forums around that could help you out.
ummmm, ill try get some pics of the shitter if i can.. but last time i lookd.. car looked alrite for a 30 year old thing.. just need 2 chuck some wide rubbers onnit, with some dishd rims, and lower it.. and i rechon ill be happy.. and a new coat of paint...
would any one know, if the sr would be still using the old original box that came with the 1600, or would it be using a new one ? - s13 gearbox?...
(i have no clue on dattos)
* since everyone sayin $2,200 is to cheap.. im startin to worry there are some troubles with the car / engine..
there any thngs that i should look out for wen i go have another look at it?.. any problems that are common in sr20 datto's?

2200 is very very cheap but i wouldnt be complaining
It would most likely be a s13 box.
Parts are not that hard to find you just got to know where to look. The thing is what you have to pay for them. Some parts you can still get straight from nissan.
I have a sr20 datto and bodybodyrock has a fj so feel free to ask any questions
When you go to look at the car find out who did the conversion, what kit he used, suspension, upgraded brakes, check for rust in the usual spots and give the car a really good looking over. I went to look at one and it was more bog than metal and he wanted 7200
Goodluck
