converting MP4 to something playable?

just took a small clip on my phone of the wrxs zorst and bluetoothed it to my putercom comes up as a mp4 file wont play in windows media player but will play in VLC minus sound? any ideas?

The latest VLC should play it, update it. If not go with the cccp codec that Legacy posted.
