Well...

That was a pretty average night for a lot of us.

3 of us didn't get any flying laps at all before we broke something.

Ryan - catastrophic motor failure. Oil everywhere and a nice clunking motor.
Scott - No boost, possible turbo failure.
Me - Split a braided brake line, lost brakes into c-red corner, spun, luckily didn't hit anything.
JME - Fuel reg issues, tow home.
Rob Hoare - blown exhaust gasket.

supra pops a decent flame when the fuel went through the engine though...

Went really well for half a lap.

....I might take up golf.

Yep i suffered fail from a $5 part. Smell of fuel after going out on first of the short track laps sent alarms bells off, coasting back into pits with fire extinguisher at the ready. Supra sailed well, loads of fun behind the wheel.

Rob Hoare - blown exhaust gasket.
Well earned after all the bragging that he has a running car. :p

Nah, unfortunate, but all in the name of the game. Some good ones out last night, and good to see average Tom, Dick & Harrys going at it (Civic sedan etc.). Kye loved the sound of that CRX.

Where does 1 find the results?

Yup, custom braided lines made by and installed by Rotomotion.

Not impressed.

Considering I was doing about 140km/h (top of 3rd) coming through the S's, stood on the brakes and had nothing, I was lucky it didn't happen at the end of the straight.

Had to grab the handbrake, throw it sideways, and take off as much speed as I could.

There ment to be tested to 3000psi , twice the maximum operating pressure so should of failed on the test if they were NEW ..

Did it split or show signs of wear?

If it split, i'd fucking have them all changed.

Damn thats scary, at least no damage done.

Was obviously a good day for it, i popped an intercooler hose off at a private AHG tuning day yesterday avo, $5 hose clamp fix. Shat myself for a second though when i heard a loud pop and suddenly no power.

On a good note, the event ran very smoothly.
Minimal hold ups & lots of runs.

No signs of wear, just brake fluid coming from the line.

I'll be changing them all.

Everyone had a bit of bad luck yesterday!

is there such a thing as insurance for track days? cos i cant afford to bend the WRX, but want to take it on the track some day... i'm guessing it would be cheaper to buy a bunky track car?

Shannons will insure if qualified instructors there and it is NOT a timed event - check the PDS

You did well, it just looked like you had overcooked it going into the corner!

Correct. The No Limits nights are timed though. Don't know the deal if you choose not to have a timing box on your car though?

If you need a CAMS license to enter then no insurance from anyone- i've hunted around.

Shannons will cover you for AHG type stuff where you don't need CAMS license.

Just drive a bit slower if you're worried about breaking things, it will still be a lot more fun than driving with dickhead Perth drivers.
