Danny's Widebody S15 Shoot...

Went up to Import Central tonight as I'm putting together a feature on both Danny's S15 and his GT-R.


Before I went up, I bought a Sony 50mm F1.4 lens.

I'm bloody impressed with it so far! These shots have basically had NOTHING done to them in Photoshop, they are almost exactly how they came off the camera.

How did you get the lighting like that, just get someone to wave a lead light around while your taking a long exposure shot or something?

Was just using the lights we had laying around in the workshop.

I've never used this method before, so it took a few try's to get right, but most things do.

As I said in the original post, they've been very slightly touched up, but here's one that hasn't been touched AT ALL.

Simply converted from RAW -> JPEG (with no adjustments), watermark added, and resized.

As I said, basically straight off the camera.

All thats been touched is the contrast to bring out the color of the car, as everything is pretty 'flat' straight off the camera.

Oh, and I photoshopped my shadow out!

Perfectly normal adjustments that anybody would make with the correct software.

I like the fact that you tried something different that was outside of your comfort zone.

You are learning very quickly mate.

afaik, most of the car is c/f , and they have painted most, but left those strips down the side bare so you can see the c/f weave..

someone correct me if i am wrong...
