Haha it's just another gay American term for launch control (2-step rev limiter, usually ignition cut.) Engine revs are limited to the first lower rev limit when the car is stationary (with the PowerFC Pro) or when connected to the handbrake (with a Bee*R rev limiter) etc. Allows it to build boost when the car is stationary.

Err...two step is actually the far more common term for it. A two step and launch control are different things.
It lets you set the rev limit low for the launch, via any sort of switch. Used on transbrakes etc.
Not just to build boost but also to be able to leave at consistent revs each time.

Interesting find.

I'm guessing vibration set a sensor off causing the airbag to deploy.
