17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC MACRO lens (Canon mount)

Bought this lens brand new for $440 in Melbourne in July but have since upgraded to a lens with constant F2.8 aperture and IS, but at a cost of 3x as much as this. It comes included with a Sigma lens hood. Definitely worth an upgrade from the kit lens IMO, without having to fork out huge amounts.

More info here: http://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_all_details.asp?id=3315&navigator=6

I've actually only taken under 150 shots with this lens since I bought it. It is in immaculate condition, as new. It has the DC MACRO title as it is specifically designed for Canon EF-S digital crop sensor cameras (1000D, 300-450D, 10-50D) and is capable of macro photography. I never really used it for macro but it may suit your needs as it does have a minimum focusing distance of only 20cm.

I'm selling it for $370.

Here is a sample photo I took this afternoon.

I also have two lens filters for sale which I bought with this lens. They have a 72mm thread. They have only been used a couple of times and are both in immaculate condition without any marks or scratches.

1x Kenko Pro1 Digital Wideband Circular Polariser - $40
1x Hoya Super HMC Pro1 Multi-coated UV filter - $40

They both cost $80 each new. If you buy them both with the lens then we can work out a deal.

The Kenko polariser has a low profile frame to prevent vignetting at a wide angle. I just used the Hoya UV filter to protect the lens.

PM me if interested.

Cheers
Chris

Yes the first shot in my previous post was @ 17mm.

Here is a shot taken this evening @ 70mm, focused just below the chopper blades:

This is a 100% crop of the above photo:

By the way the chopper is miniature, about the size of a matchbox.
