lol First time i've seen a car do an endo as well !!!
There was a video a while back of a Type-R shifting from 3rd into 2nd instead of 4th (don't know how :coocoo:) and hitting 11,000rpm+....got lucky as apparently there was no immediate damage done

may be a stupid question...but what causes a car to do that?

hehe try flat shifting into first at 130kph and find out what happens.... expecially with big sticky front wheels on a FWD car...

Wheels spinning at say 140kmh, ratio of 1st gear is much less. So as you shift into downshift from 3rd to 1st, the engine is trying to slow the car down (via the wheels) so the inertia forces weight forward.

So the wheels are slowing down, but total force of the car is trying to keep moving. Car would probably slide if it weren't for the large slicks. Sorry if it sounds confusing, very hard to explain when written.
