A massive fuck you to Tony George and the IRL for not wanting to budge on dates.
A1GP doesnt even compare. FAIL.
It is a shame, Hwever the A1GP has some awsome driving in it, Very even playing field, and is great motorsport to watch so I would say that it is on a Par its just not as well known, especially in australia, This may be one of its best chances as a sport to get out in the public eye a little more and increase motorsport diversity in australia so people dont just go on about the V8 supermataxis....
agreed, A1GP is very good racing & great to watch.
A1GP has been to Australia twice before, at Eastern Creek. No one really wants to know about it here, but maybe the race up there will spark some interest.
Its just a shame because I grew up eagerly awaiting every year when the Indycars would come down - always great racing, and since I loved the series so much there is some great memories.
Christian Fittipaldis massive crash in 1997 still makes me cringe.

if you have ever been to Indy, the actual Indy track event isnt the #1 highlight imo.
as long as there are V8s, chicks, booze, tourists and a week long party atmosphere then it wont matter if its Indy or A1GP, it will still go off.

Can't say I'm too fussed, I follow the series and watch all the races but since I've never been over to watch it live it doesn't make much difference where a race is when I watch on TV.
I never thought much of the track, but it still sucks they don't come to Oz.
A1GP can be entertaining at times, but it's not in the same league as Indycar.

A1GP was a truckload of fail because they charged so much for entry; that wasn't A1GP's fault, it was because the owners of Eastern Creek are greedy! ...apparently.
Skill level is starting to get good in A1GP. Its not far off GP2 spec!
Yeah Im keen to see how Marco Andretti goes in the series.. hes apparently the next great american F1 hope...
Better then the joke of Danica Patrick testing for Honda!

Yeah but shes going to embarrass herself in a big way when she jumps into the car.
