When I was 17/18 we quite often would cram in to one of my mates cars (or mine). 2 in passanger seat, 4/5 accross the back and one or two in the boot.

In Victoria, Its actually not illegal to have more than 5 people in a car, as long as all possible seat belts are in use and no one has any thing out the window or in the tray of a ute (without hard cover) its legal.

If you were to be in the tray of a ute and the hard cover is closed, still legal.. Go figure.
