According to string theory there is a possibility for an infinite number of universes that co-exist with our own. It is a possibility that if you believe in string theory that humanity could have evolved entirely different given a different set of conditions or different branches of events. A different evolution could be evolutionally and technologically superior to us and may be able to travel between these universes.
Not saying i agree with that but it is a possibility that cannot be ruled out.

I agree there has to be some other form of life in the universe. It would be awesome if they did stumble apon us, it would change life as we know it and make for some seriously exciting stuff.

Im a little sceptical on those videos but if they are legit I guess they could be sussing the place out to see if its safe for them or not hahaha. I strongly believe in the existance of alien lifeforms, but what I dont get is all the abduction stories... I mean I can't see a lifeform that is way more advanced than us coming all this way just to stick a probe up our ass's, take a photo and leave... unless they got their own version of Punk'd or something...

The US Govt spends billions of pesos a year researching the existance of aliens and trying to make contact with little green/grey men (depending on if you watch Stargate or Star Trek), building massive radio telescopes and transmitters... They gotta know something we don't...

Funny enough, he lives around the corner and is a mate of a mate, we got to his place once twice a fortnight.

i read about the dogon's years ago the stuff i read then said they knew of the existance of a star that was only discovered in modern times with telescopes & some other interesting stuff.
i just had a quick read on wiki to see what they said. seems this story has been 'embelished' a bit so im not sure about it all now.

as for genetics im not sure about your info. im not saying its wrong because im sure you have info to back it up,but i thought humans had like 99.9% the dna of apes so to say dogons have absolutely no similar genetics to other africans/humans is a little hard for me to understand. genetics bores the shit outta me tho so im probably wrong on that?

things like that happen when asteroids enter the atmosphere, they get to a certain point and explode pretty much leaving a pretty clear impression on the ground below.. sure, there is no way humanity could of caused it , but there is plenty of cases of things like this happening in nature...

I think the majority of sightings are fakes, but with the size of the universe it would be naive to think that we are the only intelligent beings... weather the government has contacts with aliens, etc I dont know...
