im here ..... been outta action as my parents are off to tassie so im having quality "family time"

Last night was eventful ...... it was my parents business xmas party .... i was supposed to pick my parents up later that night ... i get a call from mum telling me not to bother cos Ben will drop them home ... then i get a call from mum 30mins later in tears saying Ben has had to go for an emergency come n pick them up.

What happened was an employee of theirs invited his mate who had only been outta jail a week (served 9 year sentance) which my parents didnt know about started getting aggressive. When they picked on this guy that didnt deserve it coworkers tried to break it up and tell them to back off .... then this jailbird smashes a beer jug over one of their employees head (tim) ..... cuts open tims neck and slashes two arteries and tims hand and takes off half his own ear in the process. So Ben takes tim to hospital in his brand new SS ... which is now blood filled while the jailbird and his mate chase a guy around the parking lot with a knife and hurl bottles at him. Then the cops get called and come .... the guy that went to hospital almost lost his life but is now in a stable condition. I took dad down to make a police report .... he rocked up the same time as the jailbirds friend which asked dad if he still had a job and dad said no. A few agressive nasty words were exchanged .... now dad is scared for my safety cos they are going to Tasmania for a couple of weeks and these guys know where we live ..... not only that - they dont live far from us. :(

haah kel u must be getin good at answering fuel pump questions. i rang the other day about one, but usualy the chicks answering phones at car related places know like nothing at all so im realy succinct like 'i want parts section' or something haha like wen i ring Nissan.

so im like 'yeh ... i want fuel pump ... for my car ... bosch one ....' lol all slow.
u musta been busy answering phones tho, i tried like 5 times to engaged before i got thru, then convo was short and sharp over in 10secs, ready for next caller haha

What difference is an SAFC II going to make to the car's performance? Considering it's just a fuel controller, I doubt you'll get more than a couple of kW out of it once it's been setup.

Might as well just race as is.

forged pistons wont add power, probably reduce it along with the compression ratio. All they do is allow the engine to tolerate larger boost levels etc.

why does everyone assume im igronant and think that forgies are going to make my car suddenly reach 280? ummm no i said the FMIC, new turbs and dump pipes will make my car reach 280 ..... the forgies are needed as they are the better option than replacing them with standard pistons ..... i dont want to have to go thru this again so im going heavy duty!

Forged pistons will take more punishment but allow more blowby. If you intend on running within the factory redline may I suggest you use some decent cast pistons.

nup .... our mind has been made up .... forgies are going in no matter what anyone says ive already consulted SST etc and thats what everyone agrees should be going in.

Aftermarket turbo is on the cards to be installed around same time - going to need the forgies to hand boost anyway.

Go for the forgies.They're pretty cheap these days.Arias pistons from chris mills are around $900 and they usually have them on the shelf or 1 day away.After problems ive i had with a broken rocker i would get some rocker stoppers for insurance.They are only $160 and can save a huge headache like i had with a broken cam chain and bent valves.

Sounds like a HKS 2530 :) Or a GT-RS. Though, of course, (like all HKS stuff), it's prohibitively expensive.
