Tips for the podium boys? Tander / Skaife for me, though a certain silver & red Foulcoon looks like being the one to beat. Already fastest in practice session 3 today.

Two words Simmo.
Safety Car.
Look at the race footage from 91 - they didnt slow the race for much back then, while these days they will throw it out there for most incidents in the name of safety.
Plus the diff ratios are mandated and limit top speed - I would have little doubt the Sierra's and GTR's topped out higher then the cars now.
I reckon with todays tyre tech and knowledge, a Winfield GTR could lap sub 2.10 :)

No shit, except Porter's didn't look anywhere near as bad as that.
Porters hit direct to drivers door..
Another couple of metres and this may as well been another Porter.
the thing with porter is that at the drivers briefing they were told to remove their seatbelts and stay in the car and wait until safety crews arrived. so he did exactly that and the shunt broke his neck from not being strapped in. the normal procedure is to stay strapped in until safety crews arrive.

Yeah, no shit. At lap 42 the youngest Holden driver is Michael Caruso, the rest are old fucks like Jones and Ingal.....
Ingal and Seton are classic examples of kunts who should have moved on, but rather than retiring with Ford, they jump across to Holden, then bag Ford out. Seton especially. Nevermind, they're both also-rans, should have given up the game a while ago.
Most of Fords best drivers are all young blokes, around 25yo or younger.
Haha lets not get too excited.. not keen to be eating our words later in the day.

Im gunna disagree with you here on seaton, he is one of, if not the best enduro driver out there, saddly hes never won one but hes usually finished top three, is always consistent, looks after the car very well, attacks when its needed, and usually finishes the day with a dent free car and a excellent finishing position..
90% of the rest of the field can not claim that one..
