Justgot back from midland...as im driving past midland gate PING on the roof of my car, seen 3 kids on the top floor so i booted it back into the carpark they werent there so i went flying downstairs to find them...after yelling pingpingpingping etc etc for like 5 mins they walked off so i left the car at the entrance and followed one of them, i called the cops and one of em turnd around and started telling me it wasnt me bro it wasnt me....so i grabbed him and waited for the cops, they got footage of them doing it and they rekon they will go to the school on tuesday (Govonor stirling).

What the fuck is happening with kids and shit? im still fucking fuming...what do ya rekon the cops will ACTUALLY do ? Just put it in the MEH section ?

I unfortunately work there and usually park my car up the top so that it doesnt get destroyed on the lower levels by mums who cant park, and the midland dero's from keying it or trying to break in to steal shit.
Im not sure what the cops would do, but i had a visit after our store was closed one time from some cops with a couple of ugly fat govo girls (Governor Stirling) who had stolen some shirts, and they were pretty adament they were going to throw the book at them, so hopefully they'll get shat on.
Midland is a fcking cess pool anyways, need to just nuke the place and rebuild, its on its way to becoming the new Armadale.

ive had the same thing happen about 2 months ago in joondalup, driving along marmion ave and bang a rock hits the car, i had 3 guys in the car and one of there girlfriends, we did a U turn and noticed they hit another car so we pulled up on the verge and chased them down, one of us caught 2 of the little shits and brought them back to the car, they claim it wasnt them and were shitting lol, we thought better not hurt them otherwise we cant claim on insurance without police report. The rock hit about 10cm from the rear window which had my mates g/f sitting in there, if it come through the window it could have been nasty as it made a pretty decent sized mark and they were definately throwing the rocks hard at cars not just soft throws.

So we call the cops they come quick and the kids ended up with a warning and we were left to pay the excess for insurance claim and no way of getting it from them, even the cop said we should have gave them some of our own punishment because they were under age and there parents wont pay.

so best bet is to belt the little wankers and leave em :)

Getting that way because Midland as a suburb has a similar average socio-economic status to Armadale, but not quite as low as Armadale yet.
There are too many kids and too many Aboriginals. They have nothing better to do so they turn to these sorts of stupid acts. Its not 100% the kids fault, its a combination of bad parenting, the "MTV generation" effect that has paved the way for acts seen in Jackass to become not only tolerated but "cool" and a lack of community support to provide things to keep the teenagers occupied.
So while they are little fcks there is a lot more going on and to be honest im sure when we were teenagers we all did some stupid sh!t, the main difference is that it is becoming a lot more common and a lot more dangerous and it needs to be stopped. e.g. the brick throwing from the bridge ages ago.

I was in the R the other week parked outside of Prime Liquidation when school had finished and the usual gang of Governor Stirling kids walk down G.E for Midland Gate. About 4 dodgey kids stop and walk up to my driver's door and I'm out the back of Prime looking straight at them (but they couldn't see me) with this huge other guy and we're almost ready to go outside to bust heads, but thankfully they packed their shit up and walked away shortly after. Can never trust those kids at G.S.

However I do think Midland is getting better appearance wise, and ever so slowly its starting to change the type of people in the area. Sure you won't be seeing heaps of asians at Midland Gate (its like 'are you lost?' when you see one lol) but lots of businesses and construction in and around there are looking rather flash (Cafe de Luca, Trend boutique, new hair dreseer, new houses / apartments around Railway workshops). If I can get rid of my stupid R, I'd probably look at moving into Midland myself :o

Ummm....let's just say many years ago came accross a similar incident with a group of young kids. No rocks involved but they thought it was funny to rip a wing mirror off a car in a mates driveway. Unbeknown to the kids we were in the garage and heard it so gave chase. Caught one of them and brought him back to my mates place. Mates girlfriend called the police who promptly arrived. They basically said there was nothing they could do, so we asked if they could go for a drive around the block to find the others. While they did someone executed punishment on the kid. Police came back to see him crying, and bleeding from the nose and mouth. We explained he tried to to a runner and he fell over face first into the ground , then we caught him. Cops laughed, brought him home. Never had a problem after that.

Bastardry begets bastardtry in my books when the law is inable to punish these kids.

err really? we have never smacked our daughter. However she does know right from wrong etc etc. We find time outs and taking priveliges away work best. She also knows she is loved and spends as much time with us as possible. I think this is the key. Kids left to there own devices too much sooner or later will turn to elements which they shouldnt

This whole "smacking your kids is child abuse" attitude has only come about in the last 10 years or so.
When we were little, if we did something really naughty we would get the wooden spoon.
One time I did something bad and Mum pulled out the wooden spoon and went to get me but I jumped in the bathtub and she broke the spoon on the tub which pissed her off even more :lol:

But yeah, I had a similar experience on the freeway one time. It was about 3:00 in the morning and there was a car parked almost in the bushes, I thought it was just a stolen car but as I drive past, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It depends what age. Before they are old enough to understand and pair together the concepts of reinforcement/punishment taking away priviledges wont work as they simply wont understand it. For children who havent developed cognitively to this stage physical punishment is the only proven measure to work, again like someone mentioned there is a difference between a smack on the bottom (which i support) and a beating (which i am strongly against).
Every child is different, so you need to work out what sorts of punishments, negative reinforcement and positive reinforcements work best for them. Smacking is the best option at a very young age, but as they develop using reinforcement will be a lot more effective in the short term and more importantly in the long term in shaping their behaviour.
