yeah i read that last week, if anything it seems to support wanners being there for the future. the gocarts & offroaders are gone if it goes ahead tho.
this could be why the wascc has just released a circuit extension layout
havent seen this posted on here

ah mint, i keep hearing rumours that there gunna make the track a housing estate.
be funny as fuck, if, wanneroo goes, an they put power stations in
imagine all the bald headed children in the "wanneroo hills" housing estate.

no, from my reading of it they both can happen

they should build the power station first, then build the track around that with even better corners than the already planned one.

aah that drawing looks the goods because to be honest, barbs is waaaay too short and doesn't throw enough challenges up. that extra straight is going to make it a fecking fast track and the first corner is going to be a bit tricky taking it at speed. in my old red car i think could easilly be doing 170kmh around there with it set up like that and that was by no means an overly powerful car.
i'm all for an extention like that

it might be a bit shit it needs more run off every where , lap it in under 60 seconds and then see if its a challange any more ?

yeah but that presents more of a challenge in keeping the car under control, not necessarily anything to do with the track. a car that goes around barbs in under 60sec is going to make any track a challenge.
a really good track makes it challenging to drive any car at it's limit. barbs doesn't really do that for something that's not massively powerful and handles well

hell i wouldn't be surprised if City of Wanneroo knock it down and sell off the land for housing.....
we build pretty much on their back fence :p

The current track is one of the best in Aus for over taking, it has 3 really good spots to stick it up the inside of someone.
It may not be a challenging track for doing timed laps, but its wicked to race on.
What the new track design fails to mention is that it is to be 19 meters wide!

thats true the short track does get pretty tricky but then it's a really really short track!
i was talking about the long track because thats what i've done the majority of my laps on.

Yeah, cos the only cars to ever race on their are V8 Supercars who are so tightly managed no ones got a car advantage to pass.

Maybe both.
Car is not that stiff, the suspension soaks it all up.
