yeah i dig it. got a very old school sound. you can tell they're trying to sound like they did back in the day. i was expecting a confusing pile of different sounding shit like Cyanide sorta is but this is spot-on.
this is proper metallica \m/

oh fantastic news! metallica being the one all time fav band this sounds like their "maturing" phase has ended and they are back to the old method. Was at Reading festival (outside the gig) and they were playing stuff ive never heard before... so big things to come.
who would of thought there is many metallica fans on the lag!

its very good.
different direction again but its got a heap of ride the lightning in it.
technically not as complex in nature as previous efforts which is a let down

Saw my first live show of Metallica at the age of 12 when they played at the Entertainment Centre in 1996... Went to both shows.
Then BDO, all albums, etc etc... I'm a bit of a fan...
puppets would be their all time greatest effort but death magnet is rockin!!!!
I love the last song MY APOCOLYPSE good album so far, tempted to buy it.

Now that I've listened to the whole album I have to say it's very good. Not my kind of metallica (I liked Black as a kid) but still you can tell it's core Metallica as soon as you play the CD.

Top stuff. That being said though a lot of the songs are similar, but all equally as good. Unforgiven 3 was the biggest let down for me. Doesn't sound like they kept to the style of the first two at all :/

Yep yep,i got my leaked copy a week ago.
And christ,haven't stopped playing it since.
Was pretty much in love when they chucked in a fully instrumental only song,i think the words on everyones faces with the new album is "Thank fuck!"

I havent downloaded it yet (not enough MS points) but its the complete album to play on Guitar Hero III, or Guitar Hero World Tour

it's interesting how everyone reckons it's like different albums. personally i can hear a lot of and justice for all in it. it's fucking great though. there's some great riffs in there and kirk is back on the bullshit solo's again which is always nice
but most important of all is that this album is going to be absolutely fucking mental live. i reckon this next tour, you're going to hear a lot of this along with the kill/ride/puppets/justice stuff and bugger all of anything else. everyone loves epic thrash metal

Yeah when they came last time they didnt say Perth so i bought tickets to melborne. Then only days before i flew out i heard they were playin at BDO perth, oh well melborne went off hard! They came out crankin Battery strait off first song!
Seen them twice now! Back in the 90's and a few years back in melborne!
