otherwise in Ballajura there is a white Niva that is still registered but I haven't seen that car move in about 3yrs. You might be able to get it for spare parts?

Or take the 1.6 dohc fiat motor I have sitting here for it and make it go harder

I agree with the first part but the 1.6 barely has much performance increase over the stock 1.6/7 . for any decent increase it has to be the 2.0DOHC from the 124 "sport" but even then you loose alot offroad ability.

depending on the year, you would want to look at a webber 34a, same as escort . will give decent power increase couple with a 2" zorst, even if its a TBI to start with. If its a a true multipoint version then i have access to some haltec ecu's which will give some decent improvements.

There was nothing wrong with the eletrics to start with but unfortunatly most imported nivas were rewired on landing, also most were rejects from europe.
