Yerp they did exactly the same thing apparently and binned it in the same spot.
The Satria was lucky he made it that far, he pushed it coming out of the last hairpin not far from where i was and understeered like a mofo, almost went over the edge, not surprising what happened from what ive been told. At least they are ok and thats the most important thing.

Was first time id done any motorsport so yeh need a lot of practice but was good fun! Extremely hard to get cars going @ those speeds inbetween bushes and blackboys though haha.

we went marching through the bush at canning dam. crap spot for photos, was getting darkish and to much bushes on a side track about 2-3m above the road.

most impressive to watch/listen to. the lambo sound as it approaches is just unreal.

The award for having massive testicles is so far tied between Steve Jones and Tony Quinn. On the fast left we we watching Jones had a quick dab on the brakes then got quite decently sideways at serious speed whilst turning in. Quinn didn't touch brakes at all, i have no idea how it made it through alive. Both cars where noticeably faster through this section then anyone else.

Kerry was ok from all reports, which is testament to why cages in race cars are a good thing.

No updates since my last call, hope the injury was talked up, because he seems like a really nice guy.

Northbridge was packed people tonight checking out the cars, and I shit you not, there was tourists posing for pics with the GTR, good for a giggle. Massive thanks to Ross Hamilton for shouting everyone dinner tonight, a very warm hearted gesture in my books.

Hope the rest of the weekend is a safe one for the guys, and that Steves GTR keeps on going without drama, and hopefully leads him to a result.

Im going to go with the proton roll could have been avoided, had officials cleaned up properly after the kerry wade roll over...

Kerry basically rolled due to there being a shitload of gravel on the road from cars cutting the corner, he came in, it slid, and was a passenger from there on, it slid into the embankment turned and over she went about 3 times from what he can recall..

Luckily he and his navigator Alan walked away unhurt, kerry had a bit of a sore head, but thinks it was because he may have banged it on the roof in the roll as hes a pretty tall bastard..

Anyway, after his roll, the road was covered in the same gravel still plus the extra Kerry dragged on, and a large amount of glass and crap that came from the evo, and thats basically what the proton hit and subsequently understeered, lifted off, had a big tank slapper, and then slammed into the rock face a bit further on, went up in the air ont he nose, slammed onto the roof, then rolled over once more down the bank about 30-40 on from kerrys car as you can see in the pics, and came to rest on the roof..

it was a huge hit to see, even from where we where standing near the starting line, i honestly thought one, or both of the cars occupants would have been killed as they where in a challenge car which means they did not have a cage as its not required...

Honestly, i don't to seem critical of the organisers, but if they'd taken the time to sweep up the gravel and glass from the previous accident, im willing to bet the proton would still be running, the stage had been closed, and they had ample time to perform an reasonable cleanup, as the fireys spent a good 15 minutes pouring water over the kerrys evo as it was leaking fuel...

I hope the co driver comes through okay, he was concious at the scene could move everything, so thats promising, and hopefully his back inujuries are minor and won't be a long term thing...

Main thing i supose, is atleast everyone is still alive from it...

Bit hard to see in the pic I guess, but where Matt and Ben are standing is a substantial ledge, so it would be extremely unlikely that any car would ride up and over it on the way into the corner.

Been reported the Lou Pollard has a broken back after today.

They showed the in car footage at the dinner, and it was a massive massive off at close to or even over 200kmh. Thankfully the cage did its job.
