So this could be the alleged 4th and last album? Released August 26th, apparently their heaviest work yet.

If its anything like the first album, I'll be pleased.

Oh I do realise alot of people don't like them, but no matter what, I still have a spot for them on my favourites. Listen to Selftitled and Iowa every now and then

still remember lining up at 78 records for 4 hrs when i was younger for their signing, still got the digipak cd in good condition, will prob never be worth anything though :(

Just downloaded album... 1st half much heavier, 2nd half much more melodic like vol3. Nice to see a few small guitar solo's (altho not epic style solo's). Apparently that was what mick and james have been trying to bring into each cd but producers have been cutting them out.

Love the heavy / melodic sounds of slipknot on last 2 albums.

Only heard good stuff about it.

IMHO
Id put it more along the Vol 3 side of things in regards to softer songs and acoustic tracks(ie: vermillion pt2) rather than the stone sours cds.
The 1st two slipknot tracks were very thrash / energetic metal... where as this cd has MUCH heavier sound and deeper / darker vocals (on the heavy tracks)
Yet to find 1 band that still sounds the same as their 1st cd after their 4th/5th cd.

Went with JME - one of the best concerts ive been to - ever

Crowd was IN-FARKIN-SANE

Machinehead was flawless - had alot of people well rooted before slipknot even came on stage.

Slipknot did a huge mix of songs - even from their first album!

They blew the place down - huge atmosphere - lots and lots and lots of noise

Im sore as hell - ears are ringing loudly.. Insane is the only word i can use to sum it up!!

Can safely say, no more 'altered state' gigs at Robinson Pavillion.

Probably a $10,000 + damage to the pavillion from people climbing rafters etc.

I personally worked the gate and then took off to see Machine Head, then worked until close, Hung around (This will kill Jme as he saw me on the way out) met both Machine head and Slipknot :P

I must admit, having attended metal gigs since i was 15 (holy shit Allegiance was 17 years ago!!!!) last nights crew was up there with the most intense around - the metal scene is alive and well in Perth :-)

Apparently they will be touring late next year with either one, two or three bands.

Mudvayne(After they release their next album)
Godsmack(Although not in the same genre are still pretty heavy, and are trying for a come-back tour)

Yeah. People climbing over rafter was nuts, and then there was that guy who climbed right up over the top of the stage. That kid had balls.

Was an insane show. You lied. There was no free show the next nght. :(

and I hate you so much for meeting them. :( If only I hd boobs and a witch outfit, I could have gone up on stage with Machine head as well.

Still pissed I didn't go to this, listened to that stuff all day though
