bit of an open question, but what sort of damages am i risking taking my car out onto the track, car is a tad expensive to fix etc,
stacking it into the wall and damaging bodywork? overheating?
whats crashing into a barrier likely to do?
car has cat back, pod, bunch of things changed ie balancer, waterpump, cam belt, its got strut bar and coilovers
edit : thought id add some more info
cars gearing is 1st @ 80
2nd tops in 120
am i likely to use these gears preety much exclusivly?
gearbox is the r154, engine almight 1jz vvti
motorsport expirence is preety vauge, just been down to the drags, done a fair few skids on the street, nothing insane or epic

if u love your car, and its a daily - i wouldnt advise it
i took mine down for 1st time and although i loved it and didnt hit nothing nor come close, i was always shit scared, esp when u see ya mates who are alittle more adventurous put their cars into the tire walls and do serious damage
wouldnt take my daily car down there again
hence 5k shitter supra

i took mine down for 1st time and although i loved it and didnt hit nothing nor come close, i was always shit scared, esp when u see ya mates who are alittle more adventurous put their cars into the tire walls and do serious damage
I havent seen one car do serious damage at collie?
there is only one corner where the wall is even remotely close... so all you have to do is not drift that part and you'll be fine...
i havent done any damage to my car at collie... wanneroo is the car killer...
you'll be into third for the sweeper, but besides that the track is all second... unless you want to try some third gear entries back into 2nd...

Yeah the red SIL was hammered, will post pics this arvo... Also theres was plenty of 6's on the skid pad, definately need to get some rice out there though as the V8's dominate wayyy too much. Was a good day anyway... drifting was good to watch, something definately wrong with the green 31 though sounded like a pig.

Gerrin, I doubt coffee even knows what mike paid, plus I doubt anyone else would do it cheaper than you.
I think what he was really saying is, it just hurts to pay the towing bill :)

YER I KNOW
but when you its the 1st thing you hear ( people crying over prices)
but thats motorsport if your going to drive to collie and drift you have to budget towing or repairs if things go bad
main thing is hes ok
