View Full Version : bent radiator suport panel on 2002 ss ute

the pevious owner has used the radiator support as a jack point , so its pushed my radiator and aircon radiator up . i noticed this today while "trying" to fit my otr




any ideas on how to bend this back or no some one who has befor

i bet you haven't tried an oxy yet have you?

Heat will make it move,get it glowing read and then mash the fucker down,i'd do it if you didn't live 10 years away in the hills.

dont have an oxy and its hard to explain i dont think an oxy will do

First beat the fuck out of the idiot who used it as a jacking point.

Second, Id go ask your local panelbeater to have a look and advise.

mate those tie bar's are week as piss you should be able to lean on it to bend it.

get some chain and chain it to the floor off the tie bar and then get two jacks on each rail end lightly jack the car at a evan rate.

that is the easy way to bend it back in place.

...thats the ticket.
if the weight of the car was enough to bend the frame it should be enought to pull it back.
forget about trying to straighten light materials like that with the oxy imo.
