Odyssey Battery Pro's and Con's

Looking to purchase an Odyssey PC680 battery to install in my r32 (rb20det) due to lake of engine bay space. Is an Odyssey battery the way to go or should I re-locate the battery to the boot?

i was looking into an oddyssey but everywhere i read recomended a deka.
same size and weight but without the metal jacket option which u can get for odysseys.

i got 1 in my supra and it starts the car no probs whatso ever, can leave car for 2 weeks without startng it and it still cranks over easy.

expect to pay 200 for the deka compared to 360 or something for the oddyssey.

also, although rated at only 320 cca, they put out well over 600 :)

The only issue Odyssey batteries have is when you don't drive your car for a while they drain to the point of needing them charged by a professional like Battery world.

IMO the Odyssey's are shit, I use to be able to get them thru work but our supplier stopped selling them as heaps where coming back for warranty. I had mine turn to shit after 1 year, best bet is to go for a Optima or some other brand of deep cycle.

Already had it run flat for 2 months, bump start the car, quick charge up drive and its perfect again.

Had my car in storage for months and it starts up every time.

Who sells these Optima shitters? Already killed 2 batteries in the last 6 months from not starting my car for 2 weeks. Gonna need a fucking trickle charger this time too I think.

i too have limited space in the engine bay and i dont know whether to relocate or buy a small odyssey etc

i have a small buddy club battery atm but i dont think its enough
