Hi guys,

I have a few questions about immobilisers.

I recently purchased an imported 95 Toyota Supra. It only came with a standard style key(not a button style one for immobiliser/central locking)

I need to now do Supra's come with factory fitted immobiliser??
The reason i ask is because the DPI will require it to have a fitted immobiliser when licensing and transfer are processed. I cant really find much info when i search the web.

The DPI website says if the car comes with an immobiliser factory fitted it is an approved device.
If it does come with the immobiliser factory fitted i will get a key programmed for the central locking/immobiliser. Anyone know where to get this done apart from Toyota?

On the other hand, if it came with no immobiliser, can anyone recommend a good brand and model and someone who does a good job at fitting them.

Thanks
Matt

Any car stereo place can do it for you - Dave @ Alberts Myaree is highly recomended my many antilaggers.

From what I understand, the standard car did not come with an immobiliser. Even if it did, its unlikely it meets Aus standards.

For the sake of 300 bucks, Id rather put a alarm in it anyhow.
