hey guys,

i just purchased an ECU from NZ, the same as the faulty one I currently have.

Its chipped for the Supercharger, so i want to install it into the new ECU.

What companies here in Perth are capable of doing this for me? unsolder and resolder type of job...

Thanks
Mike

TV repair man should be able to do that.

also wouldnt the chip not work well in perth since it was tuned in NZ which has a much lower mabient temperature?

the ECU is coming from NZ, its the same type of ECU which I already have here - except mine has a busted output for an Atmospheric Pressure Sensor and I can't rev over 3000rpm (runs in limp mode).

The Chip works, its worked in a car before...

Thats right, they have the experience to do that. A lot of people use TV repair shops to socket their ecu's. Take it there and ask them if they can do it.

its worked in a car in nz though

i didnt say the 'chip' worked in a NZ car thought. The ECU im getting is coming from NZ. The ECU I got - god knows where that came from originally and its broken (this broken ecu has the chip) - it could have been the US for all I know. But I know the chip worked on a car here... in australia - so ambient temperatures don't have anything to do with it...

ah k
no worries
i thought you were talking about a remapped chip that you were swapping into your ecu

hehe... swapping just the chip into a new ECU.

I hope its easily removable and it won't be stuffed up :(
