who's heading or headed down already?
Steve becomes the first one to break into the 53's - 53.4 - Evo 9 MR
Chris was oh so close to following suit.
Scradlys 34 with a 58 impressed me for a first effort.
Good night, perfect weather.

Scradleys car soudns hot
Steves car looks and goes hard
fav car of the night ... the Torrie with MASSIVE fatties on teh rear hahahaha came unstuck on the last corner coming onto the straight and ended up cutting the paddock up :D
That blew up on the last run of the night Ben :(

get fucked ?
mild 308 ??
didnt sound too angry ... ive heard ones with cams so big that sound like they turn off and start up on every rev .... should have been painting lines
A few of the evo brigade pulled new PB's too- Jason in the white 3RS and i 56.4's, Ben in the silver IXGT did a 55.5, and Steve 53.4- fark that is moving.
That white 3 looks like a very nicely screwed together car.
Ben - owner said its got hydraulic lifters, so thinks they had to bleed down, so nothing major.
A year ago 55.5 would have seen you king of the track - the times have tumbled quickly.

cars are getting faster and lighter and drivers are getting smarter bound to happen ... Steves car was moving yeah but for some reason it looked like Reynolds GT-R was fucking FLYING harder ... i heart that fanta can its fucking angry
I'd like to think I can get into the high 54s with a tune. Car is only putting out 178kw at the wheels at the moment.
No way I'll ever get anywhere near Steve's times though. He's not much off street car times around the track now.
corner speed > straightline speed
Didnt make it down last night, ended up floggin off all the parts i had planned for the taxi instead. Im on target to build a nice little weekend weapon, should rear its head early 09 hopefully, light weight will be key and some strategically placed stop and go modifications but still be street compliant :-)

out of curiosity ... the V8 supercar records about a 55 for the long track i think its Lowndes ... what would a car and driver of steves capability manage around the long track the V8's run ?
Evilteddy

1:03'ish i think... roughly 10seconds more for long track... could be quicker though...

thats amazing ...
I was in awe when i went to see the V8's for the first time this year. The speed they carry out of turn 1 and through the esses is unbelievable.

Steve made it look so easy last night, doesn't look like the skinny bastard is trying at all. Wanker :)
I thought the V8's were in the 57 range?
They were doing 56 something few weekends ago when I watched it on tv. They were hitting 200 before they'd crested the hill out of the bowl. I'm lucky to hit that by the time I get to Ford.

Don't tell me it was a commo metallic green and black torry with challenger rims. If so i only dropped those rims off a couple of weeks ago! they look damn sexy and fat.

spew evan won't be happy, nice bloke as well. good excuse to go bigger and better in a nice car! tell you i had a hard on when i dropped wheels off...
Yeah Ive known him from years back, was surprised to see him there.
Hopefully all it had to do was bleed the lifters back down.
