tickets are $83 n yer i heard its an all ages event too with alcohol section, sectioned off or something... major downer

thats what they said for d12. was an all ages event and apparently a drinking section, as we walked through the door we found out that they couldnt get a license to serve piss - and this was at the lookout. there was alot of pissed of people, they where however selling redbull at 8 bux a can

Was funny to pick some shit with the face chewers on the way out.

Heard the set was pretty shit but i didn't get to see any of it.

set was quite good, but i dare say not what a lot of the d&b kids were expecting.

i think they're starting to change their direction musically, and i'm liking where they're going with it - more "live rock band", less "dj/d&b" (see propane for example) - but kinda not following the rules of either style. be interesting to see how well it gets received by their original fans.

jagged a possie standing at the barrier behind the sound desk - best possie ever, unimpeded view of the stage plus full view of the live monitors.

coolest thing ive seen in a while - 4 ladies, looked to be 50's age, ushered in to the sound desk area with VIP lanyards on, along with a few other VIP ppls - 95% sure was the bands mums. stayed for the full set, could see them looking around at the crowd and really enjoying seeing everyone go off, as well as having a bit of a bop themselves. just thought it was a cool touch :)

plenty of underage gurners out in force who just gave me the shlts, including some goth/emo princess who went too hard too early and pretty much passed out at the foot of the sound desk, only to be escorted away by security about 15mins before pendulum even started.

and WHO THE FVCK throws water bottles/drink cans at the SOUND DESK during a gig???!!!

saw Brockas briefly, looked like he was up for a big one. i stayed sober, as trying to fight off the flu long enough to get thru foo fighters on monday night as well.

THAT WAS AWESOME!

The BEST live gig I've seen. If you didn't enjoy it, you musn't like pendulum. I had 8 Pulse's, few red bulls, and thats it, yet everyone assumed I was on gear haha I was 10 rows from the front in the middle the WHOLE night. By the time I left I was absolutely FUCKED.

Slam was NUTS. Propane was awesome live.

Best night I've had in years...

would hated to of payed 80 bucks to see micah play a 2hr set (nothing against micah but i saw him play for 10 bucks later that night) then 1 and a bit hours for a pendulum live set that I've half seen before. Chase and status would of been the highlight of the night but they didn't even get to play

What a night! Pendulum live was off the hook, the vibe was insane. The ravers and pill poppers was certainly amusing. Went backstage earlier in the night and collected dozens of glow sticks that'd been thrown onto the set, when I went back inside I was mobbed by young gurners. lol Couldve taken my pick of some pre-teen varge hahaha fk that.

After party was fkn dope too, was packed but not too packed, perfect. Best night of 2008 so far, many-a-story to tell! Keeping my ticket for a good luck charm.

Don't get me wrong, Pendulum smashed the little that they did play, but that night could have been fucking so much better if there was no micah and pends played for longer.
oh well, was too munted at the time to give a shit, just feeling a little ripped off.

chase and status played at shape on friday night with serato which was incredible - they were supposed to use there vynals but qantas lost there gear - which meant they played at gilkisons with it at like 1am and also sunday at metros.

aphro was my god and got me into dnb as a teen, then years later as dnb got bigger he became a joke and disappeared for 10 years, now he's back and he's cool again/old skool to play even his most cheesiest tunes.

but they both used a 'recipe' that seemed to work/sell when they were in their prime.
