RB25DET, really depends on peoples own opinion on genre's, its such a wide spread these days that is so hard to sub-classify metal.. everyone has a different opinion. Some say it's hardcore, some say metalcore, or even deathcore.

For me, I tend to think hardcore is more the Break Even sorta stuff, which is a little more punky, doesn't really have breakdowns, and the lyrics are more punky too, and not screamed.

IMO, Prom Queen/Parkway etc are metalcore, and stuff like BMTH which is a little heavier again and more brutal, I'd consider deathcore.

hmm yeah hardocre comes under the "sub-genres" of punk-wave hardcore, and positive hardcore, straight edge.... etc etc.

i agree with LYNMRKO, metal is stuff like all parkway and iktpq. where as deathcore is things like bmth and the black dahlia murder.

deathcore and deathmetal are completely different.
