Clutch Troubles

after giving the car a workout today in the wet, whenever i stop the car, put it in first, and go to take off, the clutch felt very spongy, and un eager to take up. When it DID take up, it made the whole car shudder for a second. Changing up into 2nd 3rd etc is fine. Down shifting, is relativly ok, although u can feel some wierdness in the take up... ANY idea as to what the problem could be??? Its a heavy duty single plate of some description.

steve i have noo idea what sort of clutch it in it. I guessed its a single plate because theres no twin plate rattle. Its a wierd clutch.

it sounds like you have a custom cordia clutch :)

i had a leak in my slave cylinder and had the same problems, so do what morgs said and check the fluid

Caliper was missing a bolt, hence why it was rubbing on the rotor ;) Replaced bolt and everythings honkey dorey. dont ask how the fuck it came out.
