Why not turbo the DE thats in there.
I have seen your engine bay and its tight as it is. So I would suspect a custom exhaust manifold would be required anyways.
To do an NA to turbo conversion your looking sub 1K usually. An sr20det is usually $2500ish.
People are making up to 250rwhp with a turbo'd NA and mate that much power in your car ... would be scary as !!!

As you already have an aftermarket ECU just fit the turbo and bigger injectors to what you have.

Even if you have a STD computer. You can get it rommed. IT cost's very little.
I including romming in my estimate under 1k :)

Really good source of information (http://www.silviawa.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6277) <--- url to info :)
Hey dude, I have turbo'd my sr20de with success, have had it going for just under 30,000kms on boost now running 275.7rwhp @ 1.2bar
I have a bikirom (a ROM that modifieds the standard ECU) which in my opnion was the best path to take because first of all the price is alot cheaper then aftermarket ECU's, plus it means you dont have to get everything rewired and have problems with cold start etc as you do with other aftermarket ECU's.
All you need is a few fittings and lines, and you can use alot of stock turbo parts which you can get mostly for free.
If you want to come checkout how i did mine just send us a email - ryan@silviawa.com, happy to help

Plugin ECUs work fine in your appication.
Keep in mind some info you read on forums is misleading as ppls opinions are based on personal aggendas not fact.

Isn't the SR20DE 10:1 CR? and he's running 1.2bar on that? no wonder he's making power.
