Westfield Sport - DANGER!! Most of the guys that buy them can't pedal and usually end up destroying them on track/club days. Westfields, PRB's, Caterhams, etc are VERY VERY hard to drive on the limit. That said, driven well, they can be very competitive.

Speed Dome is a dangerous course for quick cars - NO RUN OFF, BULK CURBS, BULK TREES, FENCES, DRAINAGE DITCHES, ETC, ETC - many a car has been destroyed there.

I've got times in my Elise, Exige S & 8MR at Barbagallo Short but they're not official. Not posting them on that list until done at a No Limit's event. (Elise was 57's, Exige & Evo were 55's).

I infs the course fairly driveable, you'd have to be doing something stupid to be in danger of hitting stuff.

Just drive to suit the suroundings. Driveing a car quickly involves keeping it on the black stuff, so if that what your aiming to do then those hazards around you won't be such a big deal ;)

Thanks for the tip.....
Just out of curiousity, how many Superkhana's have you done?

Tell that to the copious amount of people who have nailed the kerbs out there, or the drainage ditch just after the little straight, etc, etc.

Going fast means people push hard, and it means that sometimes people go a little too hard and make a mistake.

Its always good to know that being 1m off line isnt going to result in you smacking your car into a big kerb. This isnt the case at Midland in alot of points. You may as well be on Mundaring Weir Road with no kerbs.

do you know how easy life would be for everyone if you practised what you preeched :)

That's all well and good if you have zero intention of placing half decently.

If you want to be even remotely competitive then you have to drive hard, and when you do that mistakes happen.

How much HP does your RX7 make? (it's fast yes?) then how do you suppose everyone (including you) was beaten by a 1973 240z?

What I think Adam was trying to say is that there is very little room for error on that course compared to everything else.

I'm assuming you haven't been competing there for very long? otherwise you would have seen some of the accidents that happen there.

I've competed a number of times, as long as you drive consistently there isn't a need to risk running off in order to place well. Have previously been quickest RWD in a stock mx5... Oh and Simon in the Z isn't exactly an amateur, placed 4th in the London to Sydney marathon.

I think that I was at the same event.
CHOPPED! I was in my old NC MX5.

I've run there plenty of times without incident.

I've never run at 10/10's at that event though, just not worth making a mistake.
Too much to hit.

I know about Simon though,
I was just using it to make a point.

Haha yeah the old NA goes well, just a set of r-comps and it makes up for the lack of power with the speed you carry through the corners.

Yes is can be a bastard of a track I don't recommend snapping second with a foot full of throttle! I admit I got a bit excited and paid the price.
I am going to have another crack though! http://i29.tinypic.com/29fbj92.jpghttp://i27.tinypic.com/25rfdj8.jpg

I <3 this place...

Actually first time out competeing in this current car, Still getting a feel for it and playing with set up, on street tyres, which would explain why I was 3 seconds or so off the pace and sideways for alot of the track.

Id agree with adam that there is not alot of room, but id hardly say it was dangerous and something to avoid, I just believe people should drive to there limits this is an excelletn oportunity for anyone to have some legal fun un there car :) And im sure youll see alot more of the little black mazda this year as I tweak and improve it.
