Looking to put an alarm into my laser, looking for something decent with movement and shock sensors that will work with my factory central locking etc.
Ive heard the autowatch alarms have a tendency to go-off at random times which is something i dont really want.
Anyone got decent suggestions and prices for alarms ?

I have had cyclops and autowatch and my cyclops went off at random times, including when the car got to hot in summer, so always had to leave a window down like an inch. Was annoying. Altho my autowatch never went off unless it was set off.
i had movement sensors in the car, shock sensors to all windows and doors, roof and bonet, glass break sensors on all windows including front windscreen and auto window roll up on all 4 windows. Also, I had it so it was using my standard remote central locking button on my key, rather than having another button on my keyring.
Couldn't fault it tho.
Autowatch. Cheap and works really well.

Not an alarm as such, but worth a look for the $$$

That doesnt look like a bad unit especially considering the price. The only issue i see is that when its parked in a garage after its been stolen... being able to narrow down it to a suburb basically..but i spose that better then nothing. Ill definately be looking into this solution. Would be interested if other people have used this tracker and what results that had?

Parked in my shed, its on the money every time using Google maps.
With a small relay setup to cut power when doors or what ever open it can also work as an alarm.
You can also set it up to warn if driven outside a given area or to track direction and speed.
Units no bigger than a pack of smokes and easy to install.

my mate got a kit from dick smiths which you connect to a phone... and whenever your alarm is set.. if your doors, boot or bonnet are opened it sends you a text message letting you know..
just built the kit up himself.. got a shitty nokia 3310 to use.. banged 10 bucks credit on it.. not sure if the credut had an expiry or something.. but yeah.. pretty good idea...

Short-shift, so assuming you have one? Are you selling them or are you just in on the group buy? How much did it set you back?
Can you set it so that once there is 'no gps signal' it sends the last known co-ordinates versus the GSM towers?

Yes I have one, got it off the bloke doing the G/B.
Was 320 I think delivered the next day.
No not selling them, just a happy owner
If you PM me your E-mail addy I'll send you the instruction for the unit if you like.
