well i was just at ford today talking about mine and they own/part own this business behind them in morley which does mods and they still say you keep your warranty. what i got told by the performance shop was all they can do is, cat back exhaust, cai, high performance filter and capa flash tuner ( but make sure you change it back to the factory tune before service ) and yeh basically thats all the mods you can do which bumped boost to 10psi and therefore not needing injectors as if you buy injectors warranty is void. still with the right tune id be looking at 240-280rwkw which is very good for still under warranty. ford also said if i buy an exhaust, the exhaust is then void from the warranty as its no longer factory item.

Verso should be fine for factory warranty, my mate had it done to his MY03 Hatch and they said the extended warranty will still cover the car. It's only if they can prove the tune caused the damage you are making the claim on can they reject it.
Im willing to put money down that any Ecu that isnt an Ecutek (who pay Subaru a license fee to use it) will void a warranty claim if they find it, especially a very limited product like Verso.
Now im not saying Verso is limited in its abilitiy, just its a one dealer private thing.
AFAIK, they will never be able to tell you've got a Verso....
From what I understand, there is absolutely no way of detecting that the ECU has been reprogrammed.

They may get a sniff of some sort of reflash if they have a drive and realise how exceptional the car feels for a 'stock ecu' :)
as stupid as this may sound whats the model code for the MY08 rex? ect how u have GC8 ect wats the new one as i cant find it anywhere? and im tryna find parts online for it?
The new model is GH, and I'd assume the 2008 is the GHA.

if ford find out you have a tune, its black list time.. you can get away with the others as they dont really affect performance alot on the stock tune.
my car got blacklisted for rubber on the bumpers :(

Thats what I was going to say.
Why not drop in to All Star and just have reflash to stock map before going to Subaru; then after the warranty job etc get it reflashed back to your custom tune?

wat about having a 2nd ecu just swap the factory one in every time u go for service and have the 2nd ecu with a tune on to interchange?

or how about telling them you shouldn't have been driving it hard enough to find out its been retuned.
I had my WRX serviced at Subaru with a verso tune, never a problem.
The car may need to be driven with some angry to diagnose a problem.
