If your vehicle can handle it that is. Luckily the clutch on the bike was, and the running temp didn't get up there too high even without a cool off period.
I scored 21 runs last night, and we still got booted out early at 9pm.

There was a VL that got 1 run in then booted for doing ~10.6, a VE SS that had to be towed, and a BA GT that almost had to be towed but turned out it popped off the intake piping. A mint looking S15 was running 12s as well.
As nice as it is to get that many runs in 1 night, I'd prefer to see a few more people down there. I suspect they have been running the Mystery Monday's at a bit of a loss this season (knowing nothing about the costs or income of a drag drack, but there haven't been too many people at any of the Mondays so far from what I hear), and would rather see a few more people there to give it support so it is continued next season as well.
Nice times!!!!

Spotted that on the Fwy last night heading towards the city, on a flat bed.

Bugger. At least it isn't anything more. Get any times?
What was with all the other VE's that were there? Except for that Sola HRT one, they all had 1-2 runs then went & parked? Not complaining of course. Gave me more time for passes. :D

My best was a 13.3 @ 107 with 2.2 60"
Then it went down hill as I just couldnt get a launch right going from 2.2 to a 2.5 60" times were 13.3, 13.4, 13.5, 13.4.
All the ve's were having the same 'sticking clutch' issue. As it seems, its a common thing....just that mine blew the slave cyl. Apparently due to the slave being located inside the box/bellhousing and getting to hot.
My fluid was all nice and chunky....
So yeah, the other ve's were trying to let their cars cool a little....
Pretty pissweak you pay $50k for a 'performance' car and little things like that happen...but then again, thats racing huh.
But mystery mondays are definately the go.... i was basically lining back up from my run and they were opening the chain again...never get that on a wed

Check out the SS brakes, not really "performance"
But i agree. Its great cause you get lots of runs, but if it doesnt get busier, i can see them canning it after this season. i hope they dont as i work lat every wednesday evening.
Last time i went, there was maybe 40-50 people there.
I had 12 runs, and left at 9pm.

I don't get why more people aren't into the Mondays.
Then again, they were done as an experiment in the reach of the website and mail outs, all the advertising is for Wednesdays.
Mondays are for the educated punter. :D

RB25DET - The VL was a white calais V8.
Was a bit of a family affair, husband/wife and 2 kids.
Ran a 10.9 then got asked to leave.
Lonewolf - haha i know exactly what your saying but you know what i mean, how holden/magazines etc promote them.

If I had have known it was you down there VE SS, I would have come & said hello... if I found time between runs.
There wasn't even enough time for me to fold up my slip and put it in the jacket on a few occassions.

Nice times.

Yeah?? That's a bloody good time on a 750 with a few years under it's belt & only a pipe!!!
I have just gone to Apricot sized (upgraded from walnuts). Peach sized will see me do a 10.5, and watermellons will see a low 11 or high 10 on one wheel.
I'm happy with that for now. The next target is wanners, but first, I need a set of leather pants. The draggin jeans just won't do the job should the unfortunate happen up there.

haha likewise mate.
How you were 2 wheelers going with that headwind? Obviously not too bad considering your times huh.
Mondays will definately be a good antilag meetup/race night if its as empty as it was lastnight.

Only thing the head wind did was help push the front wheel up further once it left the ground (which it did a few times). I don't notice it, but I don't race enough to notice the difference it would make.
It's the cross wind you have to watch out for, especially with the "rails" that the drag track develops. On the bike you are guided by the "rails" just as much as the front wheel.
